    No, they need to string together hits. That puts pressure on a pitcher. Solo homers don’t do that.

    They would finish tonight one up on Toronto and two up on Seattle. A’s and Mariners play 3 this week as well. Bottom line is their postseason destiny is still in their own hands. Whether they take advantage of that fact is a different question.

    Okay, the Sox are guaranteed to pick up one game on either the Yankees or the Blue Jays this week (who play each other). So we will either be tied with the New York or two up on the Jays going to Washington. And that’s if they get swept in Baltimore.
