    Criswell may have a crappy FIP, but they guys is getting the job done. Yes, it was nice seeing a group effort on O. No major blunders on D or the basepaths was a bit refreshing, too.

Despite the losing streak, we are still in the thick of the early WC race... 22-11 BAL (ALE) 21-12 CLE (ALC) 18-15 SEA (ALW) 22-13 NYY (WC1) 19-13 MIN (TWC2) 20-14 KCR (TWC2) 18-15 DET -1.5 18-16 BOS -2.0 18-16 TEX -2.0 17-17 OAK -3.0 16-18 TBR & TOR -4.0 We have losing records vs just 3 teams (0-3 BAL, 0-2 MIN, 2-5 CLE) .500 vs SEA (2-2) Plus vs 5 teams (3-0 v PIT & OAK, 4-2 v LAA and 2-1 v CHC & SFG) To those who say we have played mostly easy teams, so far, in some ways I agree, but this is interesting: team records against everyone, except BOS: 19-7 CLE 19-11 BAL 19-12 CHC 17-13 MIN 16-13 SEA 17-14 OAK 15-16 PIT 14-17 SFG 10-17 LAA Some of these teams may be playing over their heads, but these non-Sox records look pretty impressive, right now.

    You always crack me up. Thanks for being such a bright spot in an otherwise mostly bleak environment, especially during losing stretches.

    The "wrong, wrong, WRONG" is a direct quote made several times, mostly directed at me. Baseball is a sport that is impossible to predict or project. Everybody gets things wrong, unless they never make predictions of give opinions. Giving suggestions is another story.

    There is another explanation: maybe the Sox were not really as bad as we thought, the last 2 years- pitchers, especially. Either answer could be correct, but maybe it's somewhere in between.

    That was the killer, for sure. That just should never happen.

    Good points. The other thing to look at is the large percentage of all of our larges deals that failed or fell way short of hopes or expectations. Most of our very best moves/additions were trades not large FA signings. This could be one reason JH tries to avoid these types of mistakes.

    Woo won 4-0 as Hagenman went 4 IP: 0 ER and just 2 hits. 0 BB & 8 Ks Dalbec 2-4 EValdez 1-4 w 2 RBI POR won the make-up game 2-1. Wikelman 5IP, 1ER, 0BB, 8K Zeferjahn pitched 2 IP and still has a 0.00 ERA Bastardo got lit up in the game 2 loss. GRE, SAL and the FCL teams all lost.
