  2. Why would a catcher complain, when the calls are helping his team?
  3. In true form, Max. LOL
  4. I'm hoping he won't be out for long. The guy can probably hit .900, one handed. If he can't throw, it will mean he DHs, Yoshi goes to LF and as of now, Reyes and Dalbec cover 3B.
  5. Let's hope Crawford can take over where Pivetta left off... Nick Pivetta strikes out 10 in first start of 2024 WWW.MLB.COM SEATTLE -- In a rotation otherwise consisting of pitchers in their mid-20s, the season-ending injury to Lucas Giolito has left Nick Pivetta as the lone veteran in the group. And the 31-year-old might just be the person to take on the responsibility that entails. Not only do the Red Sox 6 IP 3 H 1 ER 10 K 0 BB
  6. Brasier will suck, again. Mark my words.
  7. I always enjoy reading your comments on the Sox of before my time. Thanks, Max.
  8. Just a half game from 2nd place!
  9. Another late game. Crawford v Gilbert (another RHP) Let's get back over .500!!!
  10. It's gone up a lot since 2019, so yes.
  11. I'm not too worried about our offense, but without Devers, the team suffers.
  12. I'm not sure the value goes up and down like that.
  13. Weissert may go before the lefty, Joely.
  14. Jacques has as many lives as Brasier did.
  15. I'll bet he tops 2,1, at least twice in his career.
  16. As soon as someone earns a demotion.
  17. Tough loss. Great start by Pivetta. (After 2 games, the rotation has been our best area.) Wink looked okay. Gotta hope the O comes around, tomorrow.
  18. Line-up vs RH'd SP, tonight: 1. L Duran LF 2. R O'Neill RF 3. L Yoshida DH 4. R Story SS 5. L Casas 1B 6. R Rafaela CF 7. L E Valdez 2B 8. R Dalbec 3B 9. L McGuire C
  19. Probably, although Reyes has experience at 3B, too.
  20. Gio might not be a burden for 2025, but certainly the uncertainty will be present. Pivetta, Jansen & Martin will be missed. O'Neill may be missed. Ref and Anderson probably not.
  21. Some ranking sites specifically said- they did not rank us as highly due to lack of top pitching prospects, so I do think it's fair. There really doesn't seem to be that many upside pitchers that might jump in the rankings in 2024, either. The everyday prospects might be top 3 to 5. Anthony Teel Mayer Rafaela Bleis Cespedes Abreu The pitching side is likely bottom 5-7: Wikelman Perales Fitts Sandlin Slaten Monegro Dobbins, Guerrero, E R-C, Bastardo, Mata, Hoppe, I Coffey, Paez & others Walter, Gambrell, Penrod, Liu
  22. When... Grissom comes back: E Valdez to AAA Refsnyder: probably trade Ref or send Abreu or Rafaela to AAA. Mata (out of options): maybe trade or DFA Mata or send down Weissert or Joely.
  23. I liked the Urias potential, but Grissom looks to have much better upside. Campbell should help us- hopefully by more than Urias helps your club.
