  1. Joe Ryan just turned 29. He has seen his WHIP go from a decent 1.169 in 2023 to 0.985 to 0.903 over the past 2 years. .657 OPS Against in 2024 (.593 in '25.) Crochet was at .642, last year. I'm not a Duran hater by any means. He's an offensive weapon, and our offense sputters, too often. I dislike trading him, but the step down to his back up (Anthony) already has a higher OPS, is cheaper and rates to get way better. I'd trade Duran, Arias, DHam, Early and Sandlin for Ryan and their Duran. (Please say no to Vaz.)
  2. I'm starting to worry if Arias can hold his trade value. He's been in an awful slump and is now down to .691.
  3. Grissom homered, again, and Campbell had 3 hits. Rosario homered twice to help Tolle get win. (5IP, 2H, 1ER, 1BB, 4K: 1.96 ERA) Song got the 1.2 IP save. GRE & SAL lost and scored just 1 run, total, but Fajardo went 5.1, 5H, 0ER, 2BB, 3K. (We got him for Cam Booser.)
  4. Yes. As of now, we are 3-4 in our last 7. (We are also 3-3 in our last 6 ve very good teams.)
  5. I respect all you say, Fred. I really do, but that 3-4 years away mantra is tough to not think you've gone too far.
  6. The Dodgers have 5 guys at .747 or lower in tonight's line-up. We have two. Don't just look at the glitzy top 2-3 batters to determine who has the better line-up. (They do have 4 guys over .820, while we have 3, balance beats a couple or three beasts.
  7. Judge out with elbow issue.
  8. Play some D might help. We have enough DHs. That b eing said, he should get a look over DHam and others.
  9. Jh Garcia hits both RHPs and LHPs well enough, and then some. He's good on D, but most likely corner OF. I think some short-change him.
  10. Wong, Casas, Campbell, Jh Garcia, Valera & Early for Kurtz & Miller
  11. I missed the injury update. Typical Red Sox move.
  12. I disagree. Yoshida, almost all his money plus Garcia and Romero would be a very competitive offer. Subbing Arias for Romero would seal the deal, IMO.
  13. If we get a really good SP'er (hopefully not a rental) I'd be fine with no RP'er. We could move Fitts or use Sandoval in relief.
  14. I read somewhere about Yoshida with cash being involved in the trade for Clase. If this were possible, I'd try hard, here. He does have a year left, so maybe it would be worth a strong bid. The article suggested Romero, cash and Yoshida, but thought it would take Jh Garcia or Arias.
  15. A cheap rental bat might help, but I agree: PITCHING!
  16. K Campbell w 2 hits, tonight. Grissom homered. Sandlin went 4 IP, 1 ER (4H & 1 BB, 4K)
  17. If DHam is on the 26, I'd rather just PR and try a SB.
  18. Big Series facing us, now. We gotta stay focused: no unforced errors.
  19. Criswell went 5 scoreless innings, 2 H, 2BB, 6K. K Campbell & Hickey homered in game 1. POR won 5-3. Not much to report. GRE was shut out, but Bleis got 2 hits (.738) Arias is now down to .702. SAL lost. Gartrell: 4 IP, 2H, 0ER, 0BB, 5K FCL lost 12-11. They had 6 hits and 11 BBs. Our pitchers let up 13 hits and walked 9.
