    Sale missed less starts than Price and Eovaldi. Price and Eovaldi were injured, too. Eovaldi barely made any starts. Porcello is the only starter that can't blame a lot of it on his health. Our SP'ers this year: Sale 25 starts- 13 with 4 or more runs allowed & 8 with 5+ Price 22 starts- 7 with 4 or more & 3 with 6+ Eovaldi 8 starts- 4 with 4+ and 4 with 5+ Should have been 98 starts not 55. Should have been less than 24 bad starts in 98 starts, but we had 24 in 55. Then, there's Porcello. He gave us 32 starts, but 15 had 4+ runs allowed & 12 saw 5+. Add him to the other 3, and we have 39 bad starts out of 87 starts. That's 45%. ERod held his own and then some, but those missing 33 starts by the first 3 listed didn't do us any good, either.

    It could be overblown but still an issue that needs to be addressed.

    They need to re look at their whole philosophy, scouting, developing, talent recognition, medical staff and coaching of our pitchers from the first day they join the organization until the last day.

    I'm extremely happy with our team's history since Henry took over. I wouldn't trade places with anyone (even before our first ring). That doesn't mean I don't wish we had the farm systems of just about any other team in MLB. We have a nice core of players going forward- some have some huge health concerns, but we can still be pretty good going forward. Building the farm was never going to be easy under these new rules, especially for teams winning so much and spending enough to get draft and pool money penalties. It will be almost impossible to stay highly competitive without drastically improving our farm, unless Henry allows the budget to go over the max line year after year. (I doubt that happens.)

    This will likely be our SP'er depth chart next year- assuming health. 1. Sale. 2. ERod 3. Price 4. Eovaldi 5. DHern 6. Cheap FA signing 7. Chacin 8. Wright (if tendered-arb) 9. Johnson 10. Velazquez or Shawaryn/Houck

    I wouldn't call 4.65 "horrendous." I'd say 2 horrendous, 1 pretty bad, 1 very good and 1 great.

    It's a beautiful looking park, and I love going to games there, but it's really not comfortable. TB's stadium is not beautiful, but it is very comfortable, climate-controlled and clean.

    I have about as much faith (or more) in a Dalbec-Ockimey 1B platoon as I do in Chavis-Travis. I think the best place for Chavis to make a mark is 2B, where a .725 OPS is good.

    It may not be hard to find a replacement that can give us a 5.25 ERA, but the 6 IP per start part is not easy. We can't afford having Porcello's replacement averaging 4.1 IP. That being said, I am not for bringing Rick back, unless he settles for $10-12M/2, and that ain't happening. So, thanks for the memories, Rick. I have no hard feelings, but it's time to move on.

    I think the whole terrible park thing is overblown. I went to a game in TB and actually liked the park and experience. Fenway is nice and has history, but it really is an uncomfortable park to watch a game. The whole 1B side grandstand sections are facing CF not the pitcher's mound. The seats are too small. The restrooms are gloomy and stinky and too few.

    Agreed, but this list has some interesting numbers: TB has 4 in the top 42 and 6 in the top 95. NYY has 3 between 63 and 83. That's better than our 1 at 86, but none in the top 62 is not all that great.

    I went to the Phil Collins concert, last night, here in Houston. Everyone was talking about it. Phil dedicated a song to Mookie. The screen behind the band kept showing the play over and over to the beats of the songs. The whole world is on Mookie fire!

    Ben had a pretty long leash with 3 last place finishes before DD, so I'm not sure 1 firing is going to scare everyone away. This team wins. That's attractive to everyone.

    I agree, except for maybe JBJ being traded or non tendered. I think the biggest splash possibility would be trading JD.
