  1. Bobby Dee proving why 5 week sample sizes can be misleading or even meaningless.
  2. Yanks losing 11-3 in the 9th. Jays down 5-2 in the 5th. Go SOX!!!!
  3. He did play some LF, but not an inning in ST'ing, so they must not have liked what they saw.
  4. Renfroe has actually done a fine job in RF, except for choosing where to throw the ball.
  5. Bobby Dee turning it around- starting tonight!
  6. Chavis can play 1B or 2B, instead of Marwin, thereby freeing him up to play more OF. Maybe JD sees some time in the OF over the next 10 days.
  7. No, the idea is having Chavis on the bench to PH for, platoon with or maybe win the 1B job from Dalbec.
  8. If Sale comes back in form, our rotation is better.
  9. 1. Marwin 2B 2. Verdugo CF 3. JD DH 4. Bogey SS 5. Devers 3B 6. Vaz C 7. Renfroe RF 8. Cordero LF 9. Dalbec 1B Does this mean Arroyo & Kike are both hurt? No roster moves, today?
  10. It doesn't make watching Franchy, Bobby and Hunter any easier, but we are not alone.

  21. LOL. I'm really not trying to make a big deal of this choice. I don't think it makes much of a difference. We got by with a 25 man roster for a long time, and teams often went with 13 pitchers, so going to 14 doesn't really change the fact that 12 everyday players stayed the same. Like I have said several times. I don't think stating an opinion that differs from Cora or Bloom means I think they made a mistake. They had their reasons. There is no way for anyone to prove having Chavis or some defensive player on the bench would have made any difference, or that not having a 14th pitcher would have lost us even one game. There's not much to talk about in between games, so this topic seems as good as any.
  22. Of course I know that's all that matters, and we can keep playing Vaz at 2B and pinch-hitting Plawecki from time to time. It's a wonderful world!
