  1. I'm super psyched he's back with the big club, but you know, Pivetta has "excellent stuff," too. I'm not saying that to comp him to Pivetta but to just throw some caution to the discussion.
  2. What puzzles me about Houck, and I'm not saying I'm not high on him, is how he never really impressed through the minors, and his ML sample size is rather small.
  3. Not enough roster slots to have 3 guys pitch 2 innings every 5 days.
  4. .781 career OPS .760 OPS in the 1 slot. If he starts hitting again, fine, but prove it first.
  5. ERod has to do better than 99 pitches in 5 innings. That was the "old ERod" we thought had gotten past that, but I'll take it. Sale, Eovaldi, ERod, Houck and one of the struggling 3 to step it up, and we're back in business.
  6. Verdugo leading off is scary, right now. It's my hope Duran can win the lead off role by next year. That would set the rest of the line-up up nicely.
  7. Here on out. Book it (Minus the 2 walks in an inning.)
  8. Big inning for ERod. Don't take your give 'em an inch.
  9. The kid has all the tools. All.
  10. Lets hope this is a sign the offense has awoke for good.
  11. Remember when several posters were climbing over each other to drive the Kike is a bum bandwagon?
  12. It's like the umps are lobbying for robo umps to take their jobs away.
  13. He has good numbers third time through, so I'm not sure the second time through criticism holds much water. All-in-all, Houck's MLB sample size is rather small, but looking over some of our SP'ers, I like our chances with him more than them. He'd have probably been on an innings limit, this year, but now that he has missed some time, he's probably good to go the rest of the way. I'm not sure I'd let him go 90-100 pitches right off the bat, in is next 2-3 starts, but later on, why not?
  14. Gallo with an error that led to an unearned run. Yanks down 2-0. What can't Ben, err, I mean DD, errr...I mean Bloom get guys like him?
  15. Cora just needs to tell JD and Bogey not to swing at bad pitches.
  16. I love when people say, “The manager just need to tell ______ not to swing at bad pitches.” Like it’s that easy.
  17. It will be a walk in the park.
  18. Need to get the mojo risin’ once again. I like our chance, tonight!
  19. And, maybe next summer will be all in time- maybe Bloom will never go all in.
  20. I thought the whole Hamels thing was a joke.
