  1. Best numbers 3rd time through. .673 Perez .780 Eovaldi .819 Sale (26 PA) .924 Richards 1.011 Pivetta 1.016 ERod 1.489 Houck (18 PA) 2020 (10+ PAs) .571 Perez 1.200 Eovaldi
  2. Also, maybe Houck and Whitlock can each give us 90-125 IP, next year.
  3. BT W I am not the one saying that. It’s not every pitcher either
  4. I think I’m pretty firm in wanting to acquire a top SPer so we can keep Houck in the pen. I’d rather add a Jon Gray type and keep Whitlock in the pen, too, but I’m okay with converting him to a starter. If one goes to the rotation, we better add some pen help- quality and quantity.
  5. H a p p y T h a n k s g i v i n g !
  6. Yes, but many RP'ers pitch 40-55 innings or 60, so 150-190 is close to quadruple most RP'ers. I'd like to see Houck and Whitlock stay in the pen and get between 100-120 IP, each. That would eat up the lost Ottavino and Richards pen innings. Then, add another RP'er or two to take up the some other IP'd we'd like to see replaced and improved upon. Trade for one really good pitcher and sign someone like Jon Gray.
  7. Better pitchers. Triple the innings. Quadruple the cost. Sounds good to me.
  8. Indeed, but they also pitch double or triple the innings.
  9. I agree, and to some extent, starters are more known commodities. We lost Ottavino, so I think keeping Houck & Whitlock in the pen makes a lot of sense.
  10. Maybe our best chance at a FA starting pitcher is Jon Gray.
  11. Agreed, all around. I still think we'll trade for a top 2 slot pitcher and sign a couple lower to mid cost free agents that hopefully do better than Richards/Prerez/Andriese.
  12. You couldn't work "moon" unto that, somewhere?
  13. Like Seabold.
  14. Maybe one by trade and two by free agency, but the best one by trade.
  15. Thank God, you added "Kidding." I'm glad we didn't go $44M/4 for Matz, but I did like him more than when we re-signed Perez and signed Richards.
  16. Will they suspend the Rule 5, if there is a lock out?
  17. Cards paying $44M/4 with bonuses that could add $4M. MLBTR projected $27M/3. SEA & LAA looking at Gausman. I still think we'll get our best pitcher by trade.
  18. We're all hoping it will not be the Sox, right? I'm afraid, if we miss out on him, will we do worse?
  19. We will, too. BTW, we did sign Sawamura to a 2 year deal with a 3rd year team option. Big money, too!!!!
  20. Sonny Gray and john Means on the block. Word is an A's starter or two are as well. I'm sure there are more. Let's see if the Sox acquire a starter by trade.
  21. Kendall Graveman Signs with CWS. $24M/3 Seems like something I'd have been fine seeing the Sox do.
  22. He can probably play FT LF and not embarrass himself, especially with a team like the Sox, who play half their games in Fenway
  23. They must not be very good, or he has no savings.
  24. The Jimenez comment I made did warm up a few nights.
