To me, we sell Bogey to whoever gives us the best deal, even if it's the Yanks. If they re-sign him, so be it. They may sign him, even if he's traded to the Cards or Phillies.
Here are some teams with lower offensive catchers (some are much better on defense, and maybe those teams don't want to pay to upgrade at SS or don't view Bogey as a big upgrade.
SS OPS
AL
NYY: .638 Kiner-Falefa
SEA: .717 Crawford
Not looking for SS: HOU, TOR, MIN
But I think you are right: the NL looks like a better fit:
STL: .515 Sosa
PHI: .616 Gregorius
SFG: .629 Crawford (on IL)
Mets might move Bogey to 2B or 3B
Not looking: LAD? (They always look for studs), ATL, SD??? (Is Tatis due back?)
Many teams might be in on Nate, especially, if he looks good his next start.
Many teams might be in on JD, some on Vaz, Wacha, Strohm or Hill.
I doubt anyone gambles on Kike. We won't get much, if anything, even if we pay cash for JBJ, Barnes, Diekman, Arroyo or Brasier. Dalbec and Cordero's stock has fallen so far, it maybe be worth holding on and hoping their suckiness was the fluke and not their hot streaks.
Sale is untradeable, right now.
