  1. Honest question: did he trade away a lot of the farm?
  2. Isn't this Smiley Beni Day or something like that?
  3. So, if banning the shift will make life easier for LH'd batters, one might think RH'd pitchers should suffer more. for it. The bigger bases and pick-off limits should help speedsters and heads-up base runners. This constant tinkering with the rules bugs me, but I guess it's the way it is going to be, for a while, anyway. We can see the Sox have already moved towards increasing base-stealers in the minors, and perhaps higher OBP players. Let's see if they move in that direction for the big club in 2023. I'm pretty sure they won't be the only team looking in those directions, this winter.
  4. Good to see some new blood in the WS.
  5. You'd enjoy a firing more.
  6. I'll still take the Astros.
  7. Your point was clear.
  8. DD would have quit, if he was handed the 2020 budget.
  9. Admitting I was wrong is pasting myself on the back? Rhetorical question. Look it up.
  10. It's "You weren't," not "You wasn't," and I don't have to be "in the conversation" to understand what posts mean. Man, your logic is twisted.
  11. More strawmen. You're getting very good at it.
  12. You don't even know what you say.
  13. Still clueless, I see.
  14. It's obvious what he is saying. Maybe it's just your "interpretation that is wrong."
  15. I hope he leaves and serves them what they deserve, but I'd also like to see the Yanks break the budget to keep him.
  16. I have already said I was wrong. Why not try that on your Bogey statement of fact? English words have meaning. There is no other way to interpret a statement followed by "either." There is no "maybe" about it.
  17. Schwarber over Story was implied, but yes, I did say it wrongly. I didn't mean it that way. See how easy that is?
  18. bWAR disagrees: 3.3 Wacha 0.9 Hill 3.2 Bassitt 0.6 Syndergaard Pretty close.
  19. Newsflash: the shift goes away for everybody.
  20. it's not an interpretation. You said what you said. A simple, "I ddid not mean it that way." would have, at least, been a step in the right direction. Instead, you double and triple down on a very clear statement. The meaning is clear, If you did not intend it to mean that, then all you have to di is say so. It's not some deep and mysterious interpretation. Your statement clearly meant I do not like Bogey. Twist all you want to avoid an apology, but there is no other interpretation for what you said. Period.
  21. Nobody said no team, including the Sox doesn't want Schwarber. Back to strawman construction, again. Welcome back. We don't win enough more games with Schwarber over Story to make a difference. Yes.
  22. Way different circumstances and winter spending budgets.
  23. Signing Schwarber would not have made a difference in '22. Going forward, I'd rather have Story, anyway.
  24. Again, nobody cares.
