Of course. We are not moving Devers to 1B, even if we did not have Casas at 1B. It's less than a 1% chance, but that won't stop me from voicing my opinion. I'm not sure how good Urias is at 3B, of if Reyes is for real and can be a FT 2Bman in 2024. Lots of ifs. Too many. You make no sense. When you blame Bloom for having devers and Casas on th roster, when they are both DD guys, I know about that. I don't see it as defending Bloom to point out they have nothing to do with Bloom. I see it as correcting a misconception you have and you propensity to blame Bloom for everything, even things beyong his control or mostly out of his control. I thought it was Bloom's fault for going over the tax line all along and blamed him for it, until someone mentioned, someone else claimed responsibility for the mistake, so now I am not sure. I'm fully ready to blame Bloom, if he was the one at fault. I can't find a story on Google, so I'm fine with bashing Bloom on that mistake, for now.

Not sure what this has to do with my post. BTW, we did spend a lot, this past winter and added salary at the deadline. I did expect we'd get closer, but the botched tax line issue last year, which apparently was not Bloom's doing, but who knows, really didn't matter, because we stayed under, this year and were not going over, even if we stayed under, last year. IMO. I bring up the amount we "can spend" to highlight what we could do or could have done. I'm not sure if it's Bloom's choice to leave a few million on the table or his higher ups. I expect it's not Bloom's call on what the budget is. BTW, I was for a major sell-off- even getting Bogey to agree to waive his no trade, if possible. I'm just not going to blame Bloom for something I don't know was his doing, unlike you and others. If I found out, he talked JH and others into not selling, I'd be roasting him like you do.

I'm fine talking about Raffy and Casas and their issues with defense. I just was curious why you blame Bloom for them. You went out of your way to say it was his fault. It's you who is "all about blaming Bloom." If you stop blaming him for things out of his control, you'd hardly hear a peep from me about "blaming Bloom." I blame him for plenty. Things he's actually responsible for doing.

When you and others keep naming Bloom when talking about DD players, it raises a flag. I am with you and others on many of his mistakes and blunders that actually relate to him.

Obviously, Cora thought this year's team was good enough to warrant making some deadline deals to get us to October, but to suggest he thinks it doesn't matter how many prospects we have, is total BS. Sounds like he doesn't care about how many we have and wanted to trade Mata, right? That's about how your reasoning sounds to me.

All of this is clear to me, although I would word some parts differently. It doesn't change my opinion that playing it halfway loses the hear and now crowd and the futures crowd. I get why they do it. Unlike Red and others, I don't blame Bloom for JH setting the priorities in such a way that playing it halfway is about all Bloom can do. They can wish away that JH should spend more money and make the "live in the moment" crowd happy, but it's clear he is not doing that. They can wish we get a new owner all they want, but I'm still thrilled he is our owner. I happen to think we will reach the higher ground, someday, but I guess patience is not a virtue, anymore. I know nothing is a certainty, but building the farm up is a good start to helping make the odds better we get there. Until the management group decides to spend like they want to win t all, I'm sticking to the idea of building the farm up is better than this halfway crap. I'm not trying to convince anyone to feel like I do. I fully understand how and why most want their pleasures now.

I just responded to your blaming Bloom for 3 guys when 2 were inherited. I never heard you saying we should trade Devers and Casas. The rest of the team is another issue, but moving the goalpost is what you like to do. BTW, I love the Martin, Jansen, Turner and like the Duvall, Yoshida and Urais additions. You don't? I hate the Kluber and Mondesi additions. On the D, the Story signing helped the D, but he got hurt. It also forced a good defensive CF'er to play SS. He added Mondesi, Chang, Reyes and Urias- all good defenders. He added Duval and Dugo- our two best defensive OF'er. Yes, he added Yoshida, a bad defender in LF, which is an easily hideable slot, with the idea he would DH after Turner left. He inherited Devers, Casas, Duran, Dalbec and other poor defenders. Your point, now is that he should have traded or not extended them?

What does that have to do with Bloom? You keep blaming the wrong person, and no that does not mean I think the Bloom awesome thing is great.
