  1. Now, let's see some other get into hot streaks like they have shown, before. Sometimes, it seems contagious. Let's not forget, Duvall led the league in RBIs, not long ago. This is not fluke. He's not 46 years old, either.
  2. Trade him while his stock is highest! (LOL) Seriously, though, how low would this place have been had we lost, tonight. This team seems to come within a loss or two of the whole Nation giving up on them, and then pulls out a game or two, like tonight. I hope it's not all just one long tease, but I won't be surprised, if it ends up that way.
  3. OMG! My heart is still racing.
  4. Let's hope he proves he can hit better than Chang. (A lot better.)
  5. This team has made us ride the roller coaster, too often. We should be due for 1-2 more high times, this year.
  6. The ball is firmly in our court.
  7. The Yanks had the best odds (0ver 80%) in MLB to make the playoffs, on opening day. That should tell us something.
  8. A worthy man to admire.
  9. TOR & SEA lost. Big game is now bigger, here!

  11. You don't have to believe in metrics or think defensive metrics have any value, but there has to be a shred of truth to some of it. As of now, here are the 2023 DRS (Defensive Runs Saved): +70 TOR +28 TBR +27 BAL +22 TEX +18 SEA +1 HOU -26 BOS Add or subtract from actual run differential: +169 TEX +141 TBR +88 HOU +53 BOS +49 BAL -5 BAL Just even out the D, and we have the 4th best run diff in the AL. Don't say it makes little difference.
  12. Sure. They could both be starting in September.
  13. While most of the talk has been about the AL East, the AL West now has more teams in the top 6 slots by records than the East. It's a close race for the division crown: 72-54 TEX 72-55 HOU 71-56 SEA The next two teams in the WC race are from the AL East, so there is time for some changes to the top 6. WC Race 76-51 TBR +5 72-55 HOU +1.0 71-56 SEA --- 70-56 TOR -0.5 (-1.5 HOU) 66-60 BOS -4.5 (-5.5 HOU) Sox +5.5 on Yankees Sox have 36 games remaining. We need a long winning streak or stretch, and SOON!
  14. I guess you don't watch the baseball, anymore, either.

  16. It wasn't a big "jump." (I doubt those will be "the last words.")
  17. It wasn’t the errors. It was the non errors. In two straight games we handed them 3 reach on bases in one inning without an error being called.
  18. Horrific or worse.
