  1. A .961 OPS Against the third time through does not mean he can never get through it. Nobody has said he never can, but it has and still is a major concern. Today was a good sign.
  2. The holy one babbles.
  3. Showing again, you know squat. It's all one way with you.
  4. Here is one example: You say, "Bloom could have done better than Dugo, Wong and Downs" for Betts & half-Price. I brought up the fact that the only other reported offer was from the Padres and nobody else wanted Price. That is not defending Bloom in any sense. It's providing context to the choices he had, at the time. You then claimed "everyone" graded the trade as an "F," and I found multiple sources that did not. You never retracted your statement. Again, I could care less about what they graded the trade, and it wasn't "defending" Bloom. It was giving facts that you were getting wrong. You then internalize that I am a "Bloom supporter." It does not matter that I tell you I am not. You know me better than I do, and then cry when someone assumes something like you hate Cora and shortly afterwards apologizes for it.
  5. So, was it about Bloom or the league being watered down? I don't expect a straight answer.
  6. This is precious. "He always...." "Nobody else sees..." Classic. I see you misrepresent my positions over and over and then think it is a gift? priceless.
  7. Yes, you missed it again. It's not defending him, when you add context or point out others are more to blame or might be. You see it as being a "supporter," and you are wrong- again. It doesn't matter how many times I tell you my position. You just want to believe it is something else. Saying he had a slashed budget in 2020 and 2021 is not defending him. He still made too many blunders. It wasn't the only reason we sucked in 2020.
  8. I know it as much as he "knows" I'm a Bloom supporter" and "won't get over" his firing. (You won't ever talk about that.) IMO, Red care more about being right that the Sox winning. He keeps taking "eye test" even after admitting he no longer watches the games. You have his back. Good for you!
  9. He got two guys out the 3rd time through. That is astep in the right direction. 88 pitches might be on the high end. I'd hate to see him get hurt, but I would like to see, if he can get over this hurdle. (not that one game would prove anything.)
  10. So, Red is not giddy?
  11. So, I was right, all along, despite my apologies for jumping to what turned out to be thr right conclusion.
  12. Houston was Tampa Central, for a short while. We drew the short stick.
  13. Projecting? LOL. BTW, can you try to post one thing about the Sox and not posters, today?
  14. You keep confusing my pointing out where you misplace your criticism on Bloom as support, no matter how many times I tell you my position.
  15. I remember thinking similarly, when we brought in Dan D from Montreal. Niether worked out too well, but both built up a semi-solid foundation.
  16. Happier than if we made the playoffs, it seems.
  17. Again, you totally misunderstand my position and beliefs. I am not upset Bloom was fired, at all. IMO, Bloom did a lot of what he was told to do, and seems to have been successful at some of the important things he was tasked to do, and before you get your panties in a bunch, yes, the farm build up is totally speculative, except for those who have already contributed at the ML level. For one who often uses quotes from the Sox brass, you sure ignored what they had to say about the good things Bloom did, but of course that is something they say about everybody they fire. Yes, JH had enough. Brilliant deduction, Watson! "Won't get over it?" LMAO.
  18. Drive the bandwagon in the parade. I knew you'd enjoy this.
  19. Yes, I can't believe I ept hearing posters saying
  20. It's amazing how many of your posts are about posters not the Red Sox, and none are insightful, including your repeating "17000 posts" over and over. Looks like projection to me.
  21. Have I claimed he was fired for another reason? I've been wrong on many things- some about Bloom, but you are inventing a disagreement that is not there. BTW, he wasn't fired last year over W-L, so were you right or wrong, last winter? Just curious.
  22. It always has been, for you from day one- before you even knew him. If you don't think the budget had anything to do with trading Betts with half-Price and not replacing their money plus Porcello's $20+M, that's your right, but I will continue to diagree. This past winter, Bloom had enough to sign some SP'ers. He did not. Like I said, there is plenty to blame Chaim for without needing to invent more.
  23. The budget restrictions were a major reason we did not with in 2020 and could have been in 2021, too. I have said that from the Story signing onwards, it was not an excuse. I have said the Sale contract was no longer an excuse for Bloom, as he was the only dead weight still carried over from DD. I said last winter was "make or break" for Bloom, because he had a big budget. You don't listen, or hear what you want to hear. Bloom focused his budget on the wrong area, last winter. That could be a major reason he is gone. Hit turned out it was his "make or break" winter, but you interpret that as me being wrong, somehow.
  24. I said it seemed like the plan was to make the future the top priority. I was "wrong all along?" Because the fired Bloom? No trades of any prospects higher than Aldo Ramirez in 4 years (actually 4 +_ 1 yr under DD, too= 5.) Watching our spending ranking fall from top 2-3 almost every year- even reset years to below 10. You think this proves JH & Co. valued winning now more? Please explain. Maybe, like Ben, they feel the rebuild is complete, and that's what they were hired to do, and now they will choose someone they think is better qualified for the major shift in philosophy that is to come. (Like DD over Ben.) Firing Bloom does not show the priority was always win now. It's what you thought it should be, but even you argued that we weren't trying to do that. You chose to think it was Bloom who convinced JH to not want to win now and build for the futre.. I saw it as an organization philosophy that started in 2019..
  25. Many feel the Betts trade was forced. The Beni trade is still an incomplete grade, and if you figure the money saved brought us Renfroe, one could say that move was okay. Letting JBJ go was great. (Bringing him back sucked.) Letting Bogey and JD go, when their production had slipped for 2 years may prove to be a good idea. We offered Nate a QO and a contract bigger than what he took from Tex. When you are handed pennies for a budget, you end up with gobbledeegoop.
