  1. I meant to say 1 and 3/4: LAD 1, TOR 1/2 and CHC 1/4.
  2. It's hard to imagine the Jays or Cubs offering $680-690M, so WTF????
  3. True, but my guess is they see a spike in attendance, cable subscriptions and Ohtani Dodger jerseys.
  4. Maybe Kershaw will finally pitch for another team. I'd love to see him sign with the Sox for 1 year wit a team option.
  5. He will draw fans and viewers, but Holy Sweet Jesus! I thought $500M/12 was too much. I did not want the Sox offering any more than $280M/12. He nearly tripled that!
  6. I'm glad Ohtani is in the NL. I wonder if Kershaw is up for grabs, now.
  7. Yes, it is. It is a major concern. He costs $5.5M/1. That makes the risk small. We don't hear much about Duvall starting just 162 games in 2022 and 2023 combined. We all seem fine with signing him.
  8. Jon Gray? Martin Perez?
  9. $700m/10 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. So, 1 and 3/4.
  11. Hey, you got my point!
  12. 2021-2023 .255 57 159 in 306 gms (1186 PAs) O'Neill .800 OPS ($5.5M) .221 71 207 in 324 gms (1123 PAs) Duvall .766 OPS ($8-9M x 1 or 2 years?)
  13. So, he maybe "used" roids 12 years ago, and that causes foot and knee injuries? 480 PAs in A+ & Fall league in 2015 (at 20 years old) 564 in AA/Fall in '16 557 in AAA in '17 415 in AAA and MLB as a back up in '18 341 in '19 bouncing between MLB, AAA and AA 157 in the COVID season of '20 537 in 2021- his "big year" 383 in '22 297 in '23 (counting 31 in AAA rehab)
  14. Trading Dugo was a good option. To the Yanks? We'll see. Was O'Neill the best option for $5.5M? We'll see. If the idea was to save money by replacing Dugo with O'Neill, and we use that money wisely, it's a good plan. We'll see.
  15. Yes, you can look like that without roids.
  16. You have your opinion, and I have concerns, too, but do know, minor leaguers are tested, too. O'Neill has been in MLB for 6 years and the minors for 5 before that. I google O'Neill and steroids and get no hits. I don't think O'Neill staying or not staying beyond 2024 will prove anything, either.
  17. The foto does raise concerns, but hard working athletes can look like that without roids.
  18. I agree. The totality of moves made, so far, look okay and probably reflect the new GMs take on who needed to go, maybe more than who we got back. The O’Neill signing is his first significant signing. There are still a few FA pitchers that can be big helps, and I sense at least one big trade is going to happen, so if we add two new SPrrs, additions like O’Neill will not be an issue.
  19. Maybe he plays some 2B
  20. He tested positive “earlier?”
  21. Agreed, but maybe he can. It's not like Duvall was great in CF/RF. I'm wondering, too.
  22. Does this guy look like a man on roids? https://www.facebook.com/CardsNation247/posts/687547940039732/ Ooops.
  23. One (TOR) and a half (LAD.)
  24. Almost everybody in a MLB player (O'Neill, Campbell, Weissert), MLB ready (Slaten is Rule 5) or near MLB ready (Fitts turns 24, soon and was in AA, last year.) Maybe Judice is 2026.
  25. Brez, so far: Additions: Isaiah Campbell Tyler O'Neill (FA signing) Justin Slaten (Rule 5 requirements) Richard Fitts Greg Weissert Nicholas Judice Logan Gillaspe (off waivers) Subtractions: Verdugo (for Fitts, Weissert & Judice) Urias (for Campbell) Drohan (lost to Rule 5) RFernandez (lost to Rule 5) Ammons (+ cash for Slaten) (Declined options on Kluber and Joely) Simplified: Dugo for O'Neill Drohan for Campbell R Fernandez for Weissert Urias & Ammons for Slaten, Fitts & Judice
