  1. hands down Ryan Howard is the 2016 worst player award winner. based on Stats and salary it aint even close. wiener.
  2. this is game 1 of a 15 game ace stretch for Clay. do it.
  3. they are two different people. and i can believe whatever i want about each of them. to me one has zero to do with the other. i can believe Nomar juiced and be wrong. I am not asking for proof. you can believe David Ortiz juiced and be wrong. i am asking you for proof.
  4. i know. my hate was deep. and of course stupid.
  5. he may set a personal record at 40 for most SB's in a season. he had 4 in '13. my post was tongue in cheek / an inside joke to Moon about a Papi hater that used to post with us.
  6. lol. i like that. there have been many posts when i simply refer to him as God.
  7. that's how i felt about Lackey. i hated him. i used to hope that he would give up 10 runs every start and then we would come back in the late innings and win 11-10.
  8. awesome. thanks hugh. looking forward to you updating us occasionally on how he is faring at that level.
  9. oh, without a doubt those rings are gained by MJ being a part of the team. He was the best player ever at that moment in time. i certainly wouldnt think that cleveland would have won the title if Lebron had been secretly suspended for gambling...i mean off playing baseball....
  10. exactly. so how could you say (and im not even sure it was you) that the 2016 team is a .500 team? that's the point.
  11. no it doesn't. there is nothing about ortiz' game or body that says PED's to me. nothing. nomar is a yes for me based on how quickly his body broke down and of course the SI cover was kind of suspicious. i can have a view on one and a different view on the other. but please feel free to tell me more what i think.
  12. dont get me wrong. i have a very deep respect for MJ. i grew up during his era. i never put kobe even close to MJ. and until what i just witnessed the past 7 games i didnt put LJ above MJ. but this 1 series completely changed how i view Lebron. and i cannot stand the guy. (not sure why...just a hater i suppose). but seeing him play, his size, his strength, his speed, his "smarts" - i truly believe he would destroy MJ. also, to say Michael didnt have decent teammates is unfair to the supporting cast on those teams. they were some very good (and in a case or two HoF) players.
  13. no. it's Pythagorean. i'm not sure if trolling or what. Pythagorean tells you what your record should be based on your stats. so to say the 2016 team is a ".500" team is incorrect. at least according to the stats.
  14. also i would say porcellos 8-2 record is more of a factor to the teams over .500 success than wrights (or prices) 8-4 record.
  15. Pythagorean deserves some respect. IMO of course. did anyone really predict 69 wins for the 2012 team? year / pyth / diff from actual 2015 81-81 (+3 wins from actual) 2014 72-90 (+1) 2013 100-62 (+3) 2012 74-88 (+5) 2011 94-68 (+4) 2010 88-74 (-1) 2009 93-69 (-2) 2008 95-67 (0)
  16. yes. he's likeable. easy to root for. so i guess you have never thought or typed "Clemens is a jerk". and had that factor into whether or not you would want them on your team? (Clemens is only being used as an example please feel free to insert arod, braun, harper, boggs, buchholz, paul oneill, Joba). how about...for most Red Sox fans Wade Miley was easy to root for. is that better?
  17. just to confirm....Moncada has been moved up to AA, correct?
  18. Pythagorean has them as a 42-27 team. bad luck has resulted in 3 less wins/3 more losses. we are NOT a .500 team.
  19. Steph's weiner game is STRONG.
  20. he's likeable. and the grass is always greener. but having wade on our staff would not really fix our woes.
  21. thanks Kimmi. good stuff.
  22. he does seem to ramp it up errytime he faces us. huge disparity in his stats comparing vs RS and Rest of League.
  23. meh. he clogs the basepaths.
  24. this. the kid is putting in the work and is turning into a superstar right before our eyes. if we could only support Wrights off the charts 2 ERA with some run support his W-L would be eye popping.
  25. Lebron would dunk on MJ. all day long. and i hate lebron. but it's not even close. MJ dominated when most of the league spent the offseason never looking at a weight room or practice court.
