    he is fun to watch and expect him to have LF on lockdown for the next handful of years. i honestly thought that knee injury was it for him. so glad the kid is young enough that he is still made out of rubber.....

    if you are talking about me...name the amount of money. i will never deny. ever. even if he pitches like an "ace" at some point in his time in Boston. i happily ate my crow with Lackey as i watched him celebrating on a duck boat...... name the amount.

    no, not never. but did they do it in the same FLIPPING game? price is a effing disappointment to me. you love him. i get it. i am worried that he will once again suck in the postseason and cost my team a parade. you think he will be fine. i get it. i hate the fact that we are stuck with him for another 6 years @$31MM per when he has pitched mediocre in the first year of the contract. you think he is going to be a perennial CY. i get it.

    or you could read my post above where i dont even mention ERA. but feel free to take shots. you know...this one..why dont you answer the question? MVP...i think you and i have a differing opinion on what an "ace" is. to me: an "ace" never is the one to end a winning streak an "ace" doesnt poop the bed when he is pitching the division clinching game. he finds a way to win or at least pitch a QS. what is your idea of an "ace"? someone that simply has top 10 peripherals?

    OK. so does DD allow his $217MM investment to be the #4 starter in the playoff roster? or shall i expect to see him on Friday in Game #2 ALDS?

    repeating something i stated in another thread: ZERO confidence in David Price. zero. 0. this guys is not an "ace". to all the "price apologists" on this forum...i am sorry, but i have now given it an entire season and he is not an "ace". no way an ace has an ERA over 4. NO WAY. i dont give a FLIP what his "PERIPHERALS" are. and we have 6 MORE YEARS of this contract. i will go back to a statement i made a couple months ago. Price should be in the bullpen for the postseason. this guy may singlehandedly cost us a championship and cost Big Papi the final parade...... Porc Clay Pom Erod price can mop up in the playoffs......

    my answer would be the day JE signed that insane contract with the EE. These threads will live on to remind all those Red Sox fans that said we should have outbid NYY on that contract (and there were MANY). These threads will live on to remind all those MFY fans that said they loved the JE signing and the Sox were a 2nd rate organization for not resigning their "stud" CFer to a LTC.....
