he may or may not have been joking. my faith never wavered though as evidenced by my OP in this thread: http://www.talksox.com/forum/threads/17862-Countdown-to-the-Playoffs-2016-edition but yes, i was tongue in check on my 22-Sep prediction. but as i am usually optimistic when it comes to the Red Sox - i had them finishing in 1st place this season. my ST prediction was that we would run away with the division. just like i predicted in 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011, etc.....

right now i am very hopeful that we can finish with the best record in AL and have homefield advantage. i believe that means we would face the WC winner in the ALDS? in that case - Detroit.
