family is very important to cultures outside of the USA. i'm just glad they were always sick and dying during ST and not during the season. oh, and if he used it as an "excuse" to miss the first few days of ST, who gives a flip? the dude was one of the best things that ever happened to the Boston Red Sox.....

I started a thread for the past 3 years since the Evil Empire signed Jacoby Ellsbury. There were some posters on BDC (and I'm sure on TalkSox) that thought the Red Sox FO should have outbid the Yankees for Ellsbury. I was adamant that we made the correct decision in letting him walk. The plan is to compare the daily stats game by game of the 2 starting center fielders. 2014 matched up Ells v Sizemore. 2015 matchup was Ells v Mookie. 2016 matchup was Ells v JBj JBj is coming off a dominating beatdown of Ellsbury in 2016. This tracker will run very similar to previous years matchup with scoring and day-to-day stats. As always I am more than happy to review a particular day if a fellow poster disagrees with my ruling. HoF starting his season very well. as for Cole, the pitching coach came for a mound visit after that bunt for that very reason. if he still failed because of the bunt then he is chocker / not clutch.
