IMO David Price had 4 big games last season. and he wilted in 3 of the 4. not what i expect from my $31MM x 7 Ace. season opener, home opener, 1st NYY start as RS player, playoff game. but if you believe he had a "very good season" then that is what you believe. i wont tell you you're wrong.

postseason games are usually won or lost by scraping together some hard earned runs. i am not giving any pitcher a "pass" based on exit velocity of hits.... an Ace finds a way to get the K or roll over a ground ball. i once saw a guy with a bloody foot throw 7 innings of 1 run ball vs a lineup that would take a piss on the 2016 Guardians lineup that Mr. Price faced....

i saw all that after i posted. apologies! you never used the term. i can confirm that. anyways, i dont know why it's even a big deal. im a diehard Pats fan going back to the Steve Grogan days. i sat through my 1-15 seasons. since the 21st century the Patriots are a true dynasty. apparently fans and the NFL dislike modern dynasties so will do and say what they can to knock us down a rung or two. that's fine. that means we are on top. all good.

wrong. if he did that i would say that is what we signed him for. it's pretty easy to look up my posts giving price credit after his great starts mid season last year. of course those where the starts with minimal pressure on him in the dog days of summer. but if he pitches like he should - slasher gives him credit. if he pitches like clay - slasher gives him credit. its pretty simple.

i'll be happy to bring up all of prices post season starts. but really i only care about what he did for my team last year in the most important start of the season.

i respectfully disagree notin. i dont consider a 4 ERA a "very good year" for a guy on the first year of a 7 X $31MM contract. and then follows that meh regular season with an absolute pitiful postseason start. but that would be a very good year for a guy on a 1 year / 13.5MM contract. i guess if we ignore 2010 then your last sentence may have credence.
