    Barnes numbers vs evil empire dictate otherwise. especially in high leverage situation. bench = cora. so pitch selection is on him. another foulup by our field general.

    during that off season i was praying and begging for DD to sign Cueto instead of price. once price was signed i was in the "please pitch like an ace and opt out after year 3" camp. after the first half season in a sox uniform when he looked more like clay buchholz than a $217MM stud ace pitcher i predicted the price contract will do down as the worst ever. there is zero chance he opts out. question - if a player is nailed for steroids 3 times and gets the permanent ban - does the contract become void and $$ no longer applies to payroll? if so, could be time to start rubbing him down with some cream & clear....

    hahahaha. it is kind of addicting. now i feel bad for price. with his carpal tunnel he probably cant continue ranking up in season 4 of fortnite.

    meh. the fact that JBj was not in CF and mookie was playing right behind second base as if it were a mens league softball game with an extra fielder might have had something to do with that "triple". the fact that barnes was even used in yankee stadium or that kimbrell was used in a dirty 8th inning is also an issue. Cora is managing like a rookie. scared and clueless.

    Kimbrell 8th inning tOPS+ = 128 9th inning tOPS+ = 96 he should not be used in the 8th inning. especially with men already on base.

    there are a bunch or reasons that Cora was NOT "fine". i will list a couple. going to your closer in the 8th inning when he has never in his life gotten a 5 out save is amateurish at best and more likely incompetent. and it's a game in early May. no reason to act so desperate in May. Kimbrell is now wrecked for any 8th inning situations come playoff time. going to Matt Barnes in a 1 run game vs Yankees (especially at yankee stadium) is a terrible, horrible move. in case you care about stats: matt barnes vs NYY: 18ip / 18hits / 16 ER / 3hr / 10bb / 1.556 whip / 8.00 era. to use matt barnes in a high leverage situation at Yankee stadium is NEGLIGENT.

    We have seen Barnes choke on this stage before. Some players just can’t handle the pressure. Barnes is one of them
