  1. I get the impression that last year, there was a lot of focus, from Farrelll, on individual player's stats and performance, in particular their 'failures'. That would certainly make things less fun.
  2. And on Fangraphs Game Log page, there are calendars on which you can click on the start and end dates.
  3. Cora's pregame interview yesterday after 3 straight losses, in which he began with a story about how much fun it was to watch his twins trying to dunk a basketball, seems so representative of why this team has been playing so well all year. Apparently, this type of leadership was missing last year in Farrell.
  4. Bogaerts is having a pretty darn good season. He's being overshadowed by Betts and JD.
  5. Too many BBs, for sure.
  6. Price is pitching like an ace exactly when we need him to, with Sale, ERod, and Wright all on the DL. A 1-2 punch of Sale and the current Price would be deadly.
  7. We love you Slasher. Bad mojo and all!
  8. LOL I can tolerate them, but they're not my favorite.
  9. That certainly seems to be the opinion of casual fans or non fans, that there is not enough action or excitement in baseball. In other words, baseball is boring. IMO, trying to somehow create more action within the game, at the expense of some of the little nuances of the game that make it such a beautiful sport, would not be a positive.
  10. I am glad to see others enjoy the interleague games as I do. I think the AL is the superior league, but that just might be bias. I know that many fans of the NL absolutely hate the idea of having a DH.
  11. I figured Pujols would earn his contract for at least 5 years, but this goes to show you how quickly even the best players can fizzle.
  12. Yes, it would be much easier to add a pitch clock. I'm just saying that I'm against it.
  13. What a difference 2 days can make, eh? It was awesome to come back and split the series. Also of note: The Sox lost the first 2 games by a total of 4 runs. They won the last two games by a total of 13 runs.
  14. He has made an adjustment, but he's not telling anybody what adjustments he made. That is the reporter's job to find out.
  15. LOL Are those the really big ones?
  16. Swihart looked pretty good defensively at 1st base too.
  17. Price passed the test with flying colors. It is awesome that Price is now pitching like the ace that we always thought we were getting. I loved his emotion coming off the field too.
  18. I get that, and I know that will never happen. Bottom line $$$$.
  19. Not surprising, though I would have liked to see Harper go to the Dodgers. They could then have the trifecta of punks. LOL
  20. From my favorite tweeter: Red Sox Stats ‏ @redsoxstats 25m25 minutes ago Self-inflicted wounds the past 25 days IP HR BB HBP 7 2 4 1 Kimbrel 9 2 4 1 Thornburg 7 2 5 0 Hembree 9 2 4 1 Barnes 9 0 3 0 Brasier 10 0 3 0 Kelly
  21. WIN!!! That is all.
  22. I also enjoy watching pitchers hit, or attempt to hit. Porcello's double not too long ago was awesome. The injury risk is too great though. If I had to choose, I'd agree to go with the DH, but I'd be okay the other way too.
  23. I don't know about that. I enjoy interleague play. I enjoy playing against teams that we don't see that often.
  24. Yeah, so cut the ads. Problem solved.
