Hard to understand the Farrell bashing, frankly. I don't think Bobby V could have won the WS with the same roster. -
I'm curious as to what indicates 'hunger'? I thought they played a little flat during April, frankly, although not having their 'real' starting line-up together until recently certainly hasn't helped...

But do we really know the 'real Buchholz'? Is the guy from the first half of 2013 (lights-out) or the second half (hurt)? I'm not really sure. He's been so darn inconsistent (well, maybe it's better to say he's consistent in one area - he always gets hurt)... But I agree that trading him now is dumb. But if he were to get on a run of say 10-3, 9-4 in his next 2 months, I'd consider trading him at the deadline, assuming a decent return... -
I like Remy. But if he were to leave, how about a combo of Eck and Derek Lowe? He was pretty good during spring training with Orsillo. And believe me, having to listen to Michael Kay and the cast of idiots that do Yankees games - you don't know how god you have it with Orsillo and Remy! The Mets, oin the other hand, have a great team of Gary Cohen, Ron Darling and Keith Hernandez. Frankly, if Remy left, I'd make a big play for Darling, who grew up in Mass and really knows his stuff.

Well, if you're gonna start to turn over your roster to younger players that seem to have good careers ahead, I can't think of a better year to do it than after winning the WS. Realistically, even if we had the exact same roster as last year, the Sox weren't going to repeat, so why not get younger and get your future stars on board now? -
Freak, I assume you gave credit to Farrell for every win last year... At some point, these guys have to play to their career numbers.
