Yes, well done Notin, temper tantrums and throwing the ball over the wall are definitely in the same category as being accused of rape by 4 separate women and literally beating the f*** out of them. Clown.
To answer your last question, yes, if a player is accused of sexual assault and/or battery, especially by multiple women, one of which made her complaint and tried to take out a restraining order a full year before the main story broke, the Red Sox should stay the f*** away, (as the sport should have told Chapman to f*** off and do something else after he beat his partner), unless there is irrefutable evidence a person has been wrongly accused.
I just can't get my head around how yourself and others who are not only fine with signing Bauer but actively want to, are okay with your kids cheering this rancid f*** on, or able to look the women and girls in your lives in the eye?
"I mean sure look ladies, I know there's photographic evidence of literal battery of women, testimony from a rape nurse who in her own words said: 'I had never seen that before,' while describing the amount and colour of bruising around the woman's genitals, but look, one of the women tried to blackmail him and he's pitching to under a 4 ERA while costing only league minimum so..."
That sport is so important to people that they'll put up with anything for wins is bad enough, but watching people flounder to make it about second chances (did he really even do anything wrong?) is insufferable.
