  1. I don't care if the sox don't win a playoff game this year. Just don't sandwich a world series between two suck bag seasons.
  2. Its like 2012. Each day you find a different way to lose.
  3. Damn koji has been hanging some out there lately.
  4. As poorly as the sox have played, they were still only 5.5 games out of a wildcard spot coming into the day. But their is a cluster- f*** of teams in-head of them.
  5. If he doesn't get that call on the outer right corner of the plate, he isn't effective. Hes all about command.
  6. Although Peavy did have a nice season in 2012, he really hasn't been consistently dominant for quite some time. Last year he was alright and although he got off to a pretty good start this year, his fastball is nothing like he use to be and his command hasn't been too great. His two seamer is still pretty nasty, but thats only when he can locate it. His start he had two starts ago was very good and his last start was alright, but a 4.52 era in todays mlb is not very good at all. As for Doubront, his season has been even worse. Although his start two days ago wasn't terrible, his fastball velocity was way down. With the plethora of young starting pitchers the sox have in workman, de la rosa, henry ownes, allen webster, and clay buchholz coming back soon, should the sox wait till after the season is over to oust them or do it sooner?
  7. The Yankees have been very similar to us run producing wise and runs allowed wise this year. They are 35 and 32 though. If a quarter of those one run loses go our way, we are a 500 team. If just 4 of those one run games like the one today go our way, we are 35 and 34.
  8. I could see them getting back to 500, but a playoff spot will be tough.
  9. As they stand now, I would agree.
  10. We gotta go 59-34 to get to 90 wins. We better start making up ground quick.
  11. What sucks is again we were only a hit away from winning that in the 9th. Sucks having the most one run loses in the al. However, this team is definitely struggling to score runs. Going into the game, we had the third worst offense in the al. Currently, we only have 50 hrs on the season. Thats ridiculous. Someone other than Papi has to be hitting for hrs in this lineup. Its stupid how our next highest hr total is 6 with mike napoli and xander bogaerts.
  12. I was referring to his first double today.
  13. 8-10 in the last 18 looks a lot better than 0-10 over the last ten. Nice job sox.
  14. Fenway givith to brock holt and takith away for Xander.
  15. Brock holt could easily have 0 instead of 4 hits now. His first double would have been a fly out in any other ball park. His second and third ones could have been caught relatively easily but were missed played. And his fourth one was slightly tougher to catch but sean Rodriguez, who has had a terrible defensive game today, couldn't get it.
  16. Xander up to .300 now. He appears to be the real deal.
  17. Sox should now start hacking at every pitch instead of getting useless walks.
  18. Judging off of how this offense has been struggling and workman's poor numbers in pawtucket, 10 straight might be a real possibility.
  19. Dont stop here. Lets shoot for 10 in a row. If jake peavy didn't lay an egg for the third straight start, this game could have ended as a win for us hours ago.
  20. Jesus christ andrew miller what the hell
  21. Don't give up your third walk off in a little over a week please.
