    Im going to have to disagree that you have the starting pitching to make a run in october. Kuroda is not the same as last year.

    I understand that but that third strike drew swung at was baffling.

    cant drive in one measly run with runners on first and second and no outs. This offense never ceases to amaze me with how terrible it is.

    Yup like us and the rays this year.

    I would really like to see it happen. The rivalry is a joke now. We are essentially guaranteed some sort of scuffle every series vs the rays but nothing vs the yanks.

    If we end up getting swept, I hope the sox get so infuriated that they rekindle the player rivalry with the yankees and start a big brawl in game three.

    Pedroia just hasn't been able to sustain any good hitting streaks this year. Sure he can play excellent defense at second, but he has been a below average overall hitter this year. I thought after that two hit game in oakland he was going to start to take off but he just hasn't. Having an ops plus under 100 says it all about pedey this season. He has hit more like a 7th hitter rather than a lead off, two, or three man.

    I know. Even that beat up s*** hole yankee offense last year managed 650.

    The sox are currently on pace for only 609 runs. Can you remember the last time a sox offense has been that s*****? I mean since the turn of the century you can usually pencil them in each year for 800 or more runs and no less than 750.

    Xander is popping balls up way too much lately.

    Pierzynski has come up in key moments this season but lately he has been s***.

    Does anyone know if peavy is hurt or when his velocity exactly went to s***? I know he had a nice season in 2012 but I don't know if his velocity was better then or not. He can't locate anything now and can only reach 92 tops when he rears back.

    True except that it wasn't quality starts but starts giving up no more than three earned runs which is what he is capable of. He just doesn't go very deep into games. He will keep you in games by giving up three but he won't go deep into games. (He has failed to average six innings a start any of his three years as a starter). It will be interesting to see what we can get for him if we do trade him.

    The average hasn't been there for papi, but his power has. i didn't expect him to be on pace for 36 dingers this year.
