I agree. The thing is, Xander has never completely dominated in the minors at any level for a good chunk of the season. He was good at portland, but at pawtucket he certainly wasn't tearing the league up. Now I know he's still young and can go from hitting 230 to 300 like brock holt did next year, its very risky to depend on him to be a dominant force in our offense next year. As for Jackie, he was a .270 hitter in triple and double a who just got us really excited over a good spring training last year.Mookie is continuing to tear up pawtucket and only got 10 games up here so you can't say he is a .235 major league hitter obviously. I'd like to see him him and nava in the outfield rather than nava and gomes once the deadline passes.

Exactly. Its always exciting when you have a good team until they get eliminated in the playoffs. When you have a bad team, excitement can be lost for months.

I never expect a championship. However, when you have big payroll like the red sox and charge ridiculous prices for tickets, you always have to be competitive.

Indeed. Ranaudo has a great era at 2.54. Good whip. Ba against is a very nice .208. Not too many walks. Plus he's almost 25. Get anthony ranaudo up here now.

Get rid of craig Breslow. Buch is just too inconsistent and he is going to be 30 next month so he can go even though I'm sure he could have some good years in the future. Get rid of mujica.

We have to get rid of peavy. We have to get rid of Doubront who is whining cause he isn't in the starting rotation even though he sucks. See if we can get anything for gomes and mike carp.

He really is. Papi hasn't gotten one decent pitch to hit all night. Mike has got a handful and has done nothing with them. No ones scared of nap.

Every time the sox play david price he's so economical with his pitches I can't stand it.
