At this point, it would be surprising if the Bruins didn't win this series in five games or less. It all starts with the Penguins defense. They can't even get the puck out of their own zone so that their forwards get a chance to score. The Penguins had eight total shots on net 10 minutes in to the second period. By the time they started getting shots on net, the Bruins were already up by four.

I wouldn't read anything in to Yankees lefthanders hitting Masterson. All lefthanders hit Masterson.

Yeah, it doesn't matter who the Pens put in goal the way their defense is playing.

Masterson really struggles to get lefthanders out. He had the same issue in both his starts against Boston.

The Penguins scored at the end of the period and it looked like they'd get some momentum, and then Marchand scored his second goal of the night Absolutely devastating going in to the intermission. The Penguins look like complete s***.

Yeah, when I was in college a bunch of my teammates would take Addy and study all night for finals because they never went to class. Seemed like more trouble than it was worth.

Who do you think is our biggest competition in the division? I think a pretty solid case could be made for the Rays. They have the second base run differential in the division. They're half a game behind the O's and are tied with the Yankees in the standings, and pythag theory suggests the O's and Yankees have been two games luckier. They're basically the only team in the division, other than the Red Sox, that has good pitching and hitting. The Rays are 6th in the AL in xFIP, 6th in the AL in wOBA and 3rd in the AL in UZR. By comparrison, the second place O's are tied with us for first in the AL in wOBA, but they're 12th in the AL in xFIP. The third place Yankees are 4th in the AL in xFIP and they're 12th in the AL in wOBA. The Rays get the Tiger next and that's a tough matchup. But I expect to see them in second place in the division in a couple of weeks.

Official box score. In the case of a rain delay, they go back to the last full inning completed. Teams can lose a game they were winning if they score the go-ahead run in the top of an inning before a rain delay and the game is called.

Yes, the game is official and Buchholz will get the win. But the top of the 6th will be erased if they call this game.
