  1. I am not as comfortable as you are with our closer.
  2. Not including tonite (BR doesn't have tonite's stats yet) he has hit .205/.518 over the last nine games. He remains hurt IMO and hopefully didn't do serious damage there. Thats a possibility too: making it even worse, requiring surgery. DL was the smart move.
  3. No two injuries are the same. It would have been six weeks then we get a healthy player back. He hasn't been effective anyway since he got hurt.
  4. Thats the way it will be all season for him. They never let him completely heal up. Its going to be a recurrent issue all year long. I still think it was a mistake not to DL him.
  5. http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r266/kimonokat/smilies/toast.gif OOPS! Wrong kind of toast!
  6. Everyone but Jacko that is.
  7. Brennan, I gotta say, I enjoy stats even during games. Not everyone likes that. People like watching games in different ways. Its all good in my book-as long as it doesn't deteriorate into personal stuff.
  8. Up to Shoppach. Kalish is showing that he is still a rookie.
  9. Good for Youk....I feel sorry for the guy. He gave this team everything he had for years. Gotta hand him that.
  10. Paladios, you do realize that W-L is one of the worst measures of a pitcher's performance, right?
  11. As I recall, his broken back was discovered last July. His ERA counts for this year. No mulligans in baseball. Thats golf. I want to see 2-3 good seasons from him, full seasons, before I believe he is a good person to have in our rotation over the long haul.
  12. You can't throw out this year any more than I can throw out 2010. They all count.
  13. He WAS great for one full season. The rest of the time he has not shown us much more than potential.
  14. A bit hard to understand so early in the game, isn't it?
  15. His ERA coming into this game was 3.91; its probably nearing 4 now. In my book thats not very good; its mediocre. Furthermore, he has had ONLY ONE FULL SEASON of proving his worth as a SP, and even then he threw only 173 innings that year. He has potential, but has not proven he is a reliable SP yet. He keeps getting that deer in the headlights look.
  16. This is why I reserved judgement on Clay Buchholz until he had enough games to prove that he had changed. He has not.
  17. I see Bucky is laying an egg tonite. Uggh.
