  1. Yeah. After its about 6-0 and we have no chance to win the game. How pathetic is this outing.....ahole.
  2. Lots more runs are on the way. Doubront has officially laid an egg.
  3. Not in this game, not yet. Still, already 3-0 and about to give up more. This is pathetic.
  4. This game could get out of hand before we even get to bat.
  5. More slopppy baseball. This team has a habit of playing like crap sometimes. Unprofessional.
  6. Seven pitches and two runs surrendered.
  7. Well that was easy. Already behind.
  8. He stunk for nearly a year. He was not turning it around at all, and he had a propensity to end up on the DL. Furthermore, there is no room for him on this team. There was a better player, potentially at least, waiting in the wings. They had to get rid of him for whatever they could get in return, even if it was nothing. Youkilis' contribution to this franchise was huge. And its over. Its been over for him for a year, almost. His time was up; he had his chance to turn it around and failed to do so. I wish him well.
  9. If you are "all in on Middlebrooks", where was Youkilis going to play? Left field?
  10. None of it. No one knows what causes inflammatory bowel disease, though as I recall there is a genetic component to it and I believe its associated with psychiatric disorders. But there is no cause and effect: just because someone is nervous it does not predispose people to IBD.
  11. Youkilis was not going to come back here next year. That has to be factored into the equation. AND his presence was blocking a better player. There was simply no room for him here any more. We might lose in the short term, but this was a necessary move.
  12. We were lucky to get anyone at all for Youkilis. Unless he can somehow turn it around (he has stunk since last July) he is finished. We got a fair deal for him.
  13. That sounds very reasonable. Of course, that means that once he is released McDonald will need to sign a statement that he will not come within 100 miles of Boston. With that, I am outta here up to the wine country. Enjoy the game.
  14. Sinkers gotta be kept low. Throw it above the belt and its going to be given a ride. Cooke is just not very good. Neither is McDonald. A good CF would have made that catch.
  15. This team is trying to give the game away. Very very sloppy baseball. The kind of ball a last place team plays.
  16. McDink stinks. He could have caught that.
  17. Hinske is slow and Cooke is a sinkerballer. Here comes the GIDP
  18. Briefly. Could not get on to the site.
  19. He didn't say when though. Morales needs to pitch every fifth day. Matsusaka needs to return to the DL or be jettisoned. I have seen enough of him and I know I am not alone.
  20. That is exactly correct. When he has control his ERA reflects dominance. Here are the details of his K/BB and how they relate to his ERA: 2007: 26/14 ERA: 3.43 2008: 8/17 ERA: 6.39 2009: 41/23 ERA: 4.50 2010: 27/24 ERA: 6.28 2011: 42/19 ERA: 3.69 2012: 37/9 ERA: 3.12 I am not saying that Morales is the only pitcher in the world where his success correlates so directly with his K/BB ratio, but the above statistics do show that when he can limit his walks, he is always dominant with ERAs less than 4 when his ratio is near 2:1. He is certainly worth a shot at stretching him out so he can replace DiceK in the rotation.
