  1. Lynn sucks. I am glad they got him.
  2. Depth = an ERA over 5 with a WHIP over 1.60?? Glad you guys got him.
  3. Yankees just got Lance Lynn....there are there two needed SPs. Unfortunately for the Yankees Lynn has an ERA over 5 this year with a WHIP of over 1.6.
  4. By Nunez no less....
  5. Gotta make a good throw there Bradley.
  6. True. The wrist has a lot of stress on it when you swing a bat. There is bound to be some residual soreness even three weeks out once he swings. Furthermore, its not like Judge can not even pick up a bat in three weeks and have the timing he had before the injury. That will take a few weeks I would imagine. He will be back and he will be a force...but not for a long time.
  7. I look at it another way: Swihart wasn't given a fair chance to EARN playing time early in the season. Its hard to play that way...or at least play well. Look at his game logs: he would play a day or two then sit for 3-4 days or longer. You cannot get a rhythm like that. Now he is playing more regularly and his play is improving. I don't think he cares where he plays as long as he is given a chance to be in the lineup. Its still early; maybe he flops. But I am glad to see that finally he is being given the chance he always deserved.
  8. We still need one more good RP...trading deadline is about a day away now. We have better SP than the Yankees and we are better offensively than the Astros. None of the three teams has a decided edge; it will be a dogfight in October. Whichever team gets hot will represent the AL.
  9. Three weeks is the absolute minimum before he can even swing a bat. After that there will be some residual pain and stiffness, and it will take a while for him to get his timing back. My guess is that for him to return to form it will be more like 5-6 weeks.
  10. You cannot lead off the inning with a walk in this situation. And it was DUMB for Cora to take out Eovaldi so soon.
  11. Eovaldi is getting high fives....just 82 pitches. DO NOT tell me that Cora is removing him now.
  12. It feels like it should be about 8-0, but its just a three run game.....we could use another couple of runs. Its not over.
  13. Leon takes two pitches right down the middle. Uggh.
  14. We have to put these guys away right here
  15. He is on a little hot streak, but he hasn't proven he can hit with the consistency that would keep him in my lineup regularly.
  16. Someone else addressed that (Phillips) on a different thread. Apparently he has an OPS of under .500 at Pawtucket...not a better option than Lin.
  17. Where is Brandon Phillips?? I thought we signed him to play 2B.
  18. JBJ with a very good AB there.
  19. I would have someone up in the pen right now. Porcello doesn't have it again.
  20. He is sucking again....get someone up in the pen while we can still win this
  21. Porcello is laying another egg
  22. When was he injured? And did he play again after he got hurt?
  23. Why is Nunez EVER playing any more? Why not Holt as our regular 2B man? Much tougher out. And where is Phillips?
  24. Moreland is 6 for 10 for his career against Rodney. If he was healthy (and I am not sure we have been given the truth about his condition) he would have been a better choice than Bradley.
