    Our need for another SP entirely depends on how ERod is doing, and last I heard it wasn't encouraging news from Cora. I would not be depending on Johnson and Velasquez to lead us to an ALE title.

    As of right now our SP is third in the league; the Yankees, with an ERA over 4, are in sixth place. Their rotation, aside from Severino, is in shambles. Its not a rotation that will take them far in the playoffs. No doubt they will trade for a decent SP, hopefully at great cost and little reward. Its looking pretty good......its looking very good...so far.

    No Jacko comments? Hard to say how long he will be out since we haven't been given much information about what the injury is, only that its "not major". He is young....my guess is that he will be back sooner rather than later.

    Bradley makes a baserunning blunder after doubling in a run....never make the third out at third base. Hope it doesn't bite us.

    Pearce has an OPS over .900 v both LHP and RHP this year.

    I don't think Leon should be catching more than 3/5 games. The team is in it for the long haul, and asking him to catch 80% of the games is asking for trouble IMO. Time for Swihart to sink or swim....if he can't cut it as catcher we need outside help. What's Mirabelli doing nowadays.....was that him I saw exiting from the cab on Landsdown St?

    Pawtucket....played for the Angels for a little while. Dude can bring it.

    Nice little run this team is on....it can't last like this forever but its sure fun to watch. The Yankees have to be in panic mode....they will overpay for a SP very soon because the guys not named Severino or Sabathia for them are not very good. They will overpay because they have to in order to keep up with the best team in baseball.

    No...I think. But it was a 2-0 game at the time and you cannot predict a 3R HR by Martinez...you have to play it safe defensively....IMO.

    Devers is just a bad player right now....bad defensively and no concept of the strike zone. Just a guy with potential. Hope he pans out.

    Strangely enough Pearce has equal splits this year v RHP or LHP. Great pickup. .920/.923

    ERod is nibbling again....too many three ball counts. He needs to just go after hitters.
