Seems the injury is worse than I originally thought....six to eight weeks is correct. Given that situation I would be looking for a backup catcher.

Yup. Both sucked their last two starts. The difference is that Price has had a sub 3 ERA for over 75% of his starts.
Gray has sucked since his second start of the year, in April.
Just to correct you on the David Price issue: he is NOTHING like Sonny Gray.
For his first five games this year he was 3-2 with an ERA of 2.93. Then he got hit hard for two games. Then for the next nine games he was 8-1 with an ERA of 2.72. Then he got hit hard again in two more games. So in 14 of his 18 starts to date he has pitched very well.
Sonny Gray on the other hand hasn't had an ERA under 4.81 since his second start of the season. He has consistently sucked. From April 12 to July 6 his ERA is over 6.
It is the Yankees who NEED a good SP, not the Sox. We have them already.
And as for our offense, as of the start of play today we have scored 38 more runs than the Yankees and have a better OPS. Our offense is just fine.
I think the Yankees know they are in trouble and will soon make a panic move and surrender too much for too little just to keep pace with the best team in baseball.
I actually did hang out with SBF for a game....he really isn't wacko at all. He is just very passionate and emotional when it comes to his team. He also really knows the game. Sometimes he forgets that there is actually a limited amount of money that a team can spend, but other than that, he only cares about winning. Interesting guy....
Ummmm....no!
Vasquez is not out for the season. He will likely be out for maybe three weeks or so. If the injury is more severe than what we are being told then sure, lets find someone to replace him. If not, what do we do with the guy we find for three weeks once Vas returns?
In his only full season of pitching so far, in 2016, he was 17-9 with an ERA of 3.60. Not ace-like numbers like Sale, but a solid #1 SP.
The jury is out this year.....
Two bad games guys...before that nine in a row of dominance, 8-1, 2.72 ERA. He isn't as great as he was when he was younger, but overall, a good #3 SP.
