    It’s not just the pitchers. Verdugo and Devers both made idiot plays. The team isn’t showing up mentally ready to play. That’s on the manager.

    Just flipped on the game in time to watch Verdugo playing brain dead baseball and Martinez, who is finished, swinging at a ball a foot outside. The team wasn’t ready to play. Again. That’s on Cora.

    Well Wacha at least has been a decent SP overall. Not great but he kept the team from going deeper over the edge. He surprised me. Pivetta is just a #4-5 SP. The rest of the SPs aren’t even ML quality. IMO we won’t be competitive for around 3 years minimum-and only if we dump Bloom and Cora. Henry selling the team would be a good idea too. He isn’t willing to spend what it takes to win a ring any more.

    This season is ovah! It’s been ovah for weeks, maybe months. Cora failed to get his team mentally ready to play in way too many games. Time to start rebuilding. That should have started by trading Bogaerts before the deadline. Obviously Bloom isn’t the guy to rebuild the team; Cora isn’t the guy to manage it; and Henry isn’t the guy to own it either.

    Do you think Kiki had a better DEFENSIVE CF season than Bradley Jr? Its really too bad that Bradley could not hit the baseball because defensively he was fun to watch.

    3-0 Game over This team isn’t mediocre. They absolutely suck. And the worst part is that they aren’t even showing up for the games. They don’t care any more and it shows. Totally unwatchable. Good thing the Patriots are playing today. Enjoy the game as much as you all can. Outta here.

    I tell you that the team is playing brain dead this year and you tell me how great they were in previous years. How many HRs and RBIs do Martinez and Bogaerts have? I agree with you about some of the idiotic plays in the OF-not to mention the baserunning mistakes and dumb fielding plays (case in point : Crawford throwing the ball away tonight on a play he had no chance to make). Yes. Brain dead baseball. This year. 2022. The team needs a near total makeover from the GM to the manager to 70% of the players-and probably the owner too. If Henry wants to pinch pennies because his $3.5b net worth isn’t enough money for him to live on let him do it somewhere else.

    Other teams have sucked but this team is more BRAIN DEAD than most others. They just aren’t showing up ready to play. Other teams haven’t had the talent and were expected to suck. These guys had the talent to get into wild card competition but kept making dumb plays and performing way below the level of talent. Martinez and Bogaerts are prime examples.

    What an awful team. I don’t remember when this team was such crap. We need to keep losing so that there is no doubt that Bloom, Cora, and 70% of the players need to be FLUSHED.

    Can’t argue with that approach. Henry needs to sell the team. He has instructed Bloom to reduce payroll and no one is going to want to play here for him any more.

    I don’t think it matters any more. I am just wondering if they even have one more win in them this year.

    He had his chance. He was given what-three years and THIS is all he could come up with? He needs to go after THIS year, along with Cora and probably 70% of the players.
