Exactly. No focus. Two cases in point: a botched rundown a couple of days ago and Nunez getting picked off 2B last night. Last year was a lot of fun. What a juggernaut! This year....not so much.

Its going to be June and we will likely be at or below .500. Sorry. This team is brain dead and going nowhere. When does the Patriots season start?

The Sox are not "really good". They are exactly as good as their record says they are at any given point in time. Right now, at two games over .500 and playing at a pace to win 86 games they practically define mediocrity.

The average ERA for the four stiffs masquerading as Sox pitchers tonight is 6.35. Its no wonder the Guardians scored in almost every inning. You cannot win games with guys like that. Period.

This team will be double digits out of first place behind not one but two teams by the end of the weekend. They have the talent to win, but they are sleepwalking and it started in ST.

TBH, it doesn't matter. This team defines mediocrity. It would be better if they simply sucked, but they don't. If they sucked we would already know that we are sellers at the deadline. Right now they are a disinteresting and mediocre group of buffoons.

Gotta say....this is a pathetic bush league effort. This team is now on a pace to win just 87 games and this game is an example of why.

Bradley is demoted to AAA. Martinez in LF; Benni in CF; and Betts in RF. Bradley CANNOT be allowed to play every day any more.

As I recall the disagreement was about 95, not 99. I am not sure he will get quite to 99. But as you said, at 95 he will be effective. Earlier this year he was at 92-93.

I think the closer should be used in the late innings to pitch to the best hitters on the opposing team, even if its not the ninth inning.

Not for nothing, but Sale has been throwing pretty consistently at 95 when he dials it up. I remember that you and I had a minor disagreement about this. Seems his arm is fine.

The point is that there are options. Not great ones, but leaving Bradley in the lineup is simply no longer an option. He can come in as a defensive replacement in the late innings if he is still on the team....I would not mind seeing him on the phantom DL for a long long time.
