I realize he can’t tell us the truth, that like the past four years this team isn’t playing baseball in October, that they define mediocrity. We all know what they are: bums.
Breslow said that they are not giving up on this season and that he expects they are good enough to make a “deep postseason run”.
On what planet is that true?
Agree with trading Duran> Abreu. But right now we are a bad team for the fourth year in a row. And there’s really no cogent reason for optimism this year or likely next. Something drastic has to happen. I’d fire Breslow and Cora and start over. If the Rays can be competitive year after year with less than half our budget there’s no reason we can’t do it too.
