  1. Chapman has been outstanding this year. I’d be tempted to trade him if we can get a very good return.
  2. I’d never throw Rafaela a strike. There’s no need. Meanwhile Boohler did the job tonight. Surprisingly.
  3. Rafaela really isn’t very good. By the end of the year everyone will see it. He strikes out on a ball two feet outside
  4. Actually I did. Not at a high level. But that’s irrelevant. Even people with no baseball experience can comment on the game with intelligence.
  5. I don’t expect Rafaela to get better at controlling the zone. That’s why by the end of the year I expect his production to be much lower.
  6. Well of course that’s the assumption! Lay off bad pitches (which is a common problem with Flops hitters) and swing at strikes or balls at least close to the zone.
  7. Narvaez and Mayer join the bums with no concept of the strike zone. It’s getting old.
  8. If his new approach was to lay off bad pitches his production would go up. I remember when Schwarber was in Boston his plate discipline seemed to rub off on others.
  9. Narvaez with a prime example of little league ball costing us a run
  10. Abreu and Rafaela both swinging at balls way out of the zone 🙄
  11. Absolutely! If a ball is his within his range it’s almost always an out. Same with Mayer. Our D is much better this year, at least by the eye test.
  12. Ten more days until the trade deadline. I would assess our needs are: 1. Decide if we are going to be sellers or buys but not be in between like last year 2. A good #2 SP. That will cost the team dearly as there aren't many around 3. A RH 1B man who is at least decent defensively that can also hit the baseball. Toro is tanking 4. A backup catcher Its a lot.
  13. Welcome to the forum! You'll get use to us if you stay, warts and all.
  14. If they are going all in, yes. I don’t think they have the talent to compete for a ring or to even make a deep run IF they make the playoffs. They have the nucleus of that team but they’re not there yet.
