  1. RED SOX (35-23) Nava RF Carp LF Pedroia 2B Ortiz DH Napoli 1B Saltalamacchia C Drew SS Iglesias 3B Bradley Jr. CF Pitching: Ryan Dempster (2-6, 4.45). RANGERS (35-21) TBA Pitching: Justin Grimm (5-3, 3.93). -138 favorites today against the Rangers. Too much juice for me. O/U on the run line is 9. I'm going to go with over nine runs for my pick. Red Sox win, 7-5.
  2. I don't think Brentz is an everyday player. Too many K's, not enough walks. He's probably a .240/.300/.440 hitter in the majors.
  3. I was talking about next year
  4. ESPN crew wondering if Pettitte might be hurt
  5. Bosh trying to do way too much
  6. What User Name? said. Gomes isn't going lose his spot over 73 AB's with his track record.
  7. .257 batting average with a .385 BABIP? He's going to finish near the Mendoza Line.
  8. I never understood why people hated Saltalamacchia. He's not good, but he's not a terrible catcher. I wouldn't be surprised to see him extended at 3/30, although I'd rather role the dice on Lavarnway. He might be able to get four years from a catcher starved team.
  9. Must be finals week at OU.
  10. Ross is slugging .453 this year. He's not that bad for a backup catcher.
  11. I was dead wrong on Lackey.
  12. The one player per team rule will probably hurt him too. Rios could sneak in that way. Nava is defintely in the mix, though. Probably behind Rios and Markakis. Can't think of any others.
  13. ZIPS has him as a 1-2 win player. The race has been pretty tight so far. Could be a deciding factor in it.
  14. I don't think he's going to make it as a reserve as of now.
  15. Bautistia will be the RF for tha AL. Trout the LF. Nava's been good, but he's not an All-Star this year.
  16. A pretty good upgrade, too. Overbay is replacement type player.
  17. It's hard to predict how the Red Sox will hit for Lackey. Seems like a stretch of bad luck. The Sox offense more than capable of scoring more runs for him.
  18. Red Sox might cover the O/U by themselves.
  19. One of their players just came out, the NBA isn't going to f*** around with anything remotely homophobic.
  20. He fills the hole at 3B, because Middlebrooks doesn't know what a strike is.
  21. I forgot to add Josh Johnson to that list. Would Toronto trade him to us? Do we even want him?
  22. Haha, I can post it now. Angels lose the first three against the Astros. They were set up to get back to .500 with a sweep of the 'Stros, but they might get swept instead. Those monster contracts are going to cripple that franchise.
  23. RED SOX (34-23) Nava LF Carp RF Pedroia 2B Ortiz DH Napoli 1B Drew SS Saltalamacchia C Iglesias 3B Bradley Jr. CF Pitching: RHP Clay Buchholz (7-0, 1.73). YANKEES (31-24) TBA Pitching: RHP Hiroki Kuroda (6-3, 2.39). Game time: 8 p.m. TV/Radio: ESPN / WEEI. Even money against Kuroda tonight. Opened at +110. Hate paying the books the extra ten cents, but I will ride the Sox again. O/U on the run total is 7.5. I'm going with over 7.5. Red Sox 5-3.
  24. Pacers +300 for Game 7. Really tempted to take a chance, but I'll probably play it safe and go with the +7.
