    When players are repeating a level at 26, and then suddenly start tearing up the league, I think age becomes a valid concern. He could develop into a nice backup catcher, but I don't really see that as something to get too excited about.

    A QO to Salty and Drew would be worth about $14 million. I think Salty would be safe to decline an offer, but I doubt Drew would.

    He's a plus defender in CF, with great baserunning skills, and good power numbers. He was a consistent 3 win player for the Rays. I think the contract was OK at the time.

    He's was a five win player at the age of 22. Most of the players that accomplished that feat are in the Hall of Fame. He'd be worth every penny.

    Bogaerts was 2/4 with a double today. His OPS is up to .864. Middlebrooks was ejected, as his OPS fell to .764. DH Middlebrooks, and start playing Bogaerts full time at 3B.

    For two weeks, I think Ramon Martinez would be an adequate replacement for him.

    From all the information available, it appears that Moore is going to miss two weeks. Losing Moore for two weeks isn't a major swing. I agree that there is a swing, but it's pretty minor.

    Peavy has a 1.58 HR/9 rate. That's what is keeping his ERA so high. Going to Fenway will probably help keep some balls in the yard.

    They didn't keep him because they traded for Adrian Gonzalez, and thought that Kevin Youkilis would be an adequate replacement for him.

    I agree. I just hope they don't do something stupid like trade for him in August.
