  1. Don't you kid with me notin. You already know that you are the smart one.
  2. ain't that the truth
  3. Hey take a vote amongst your friends here Moon and let me know if it is me. I'd gladly move on - I'm actually having some fun on some political forums being somewhat conservative by nature.
  4. Hey I just don't understand your quick witted sense of humor - Got nothing else to say. You got me again I guess.
  5. ok super job boys - lets have a big group s*** on for a guy that helped us win a World Series. It really is a special group we got here! lol
  6. Good one
  7. Oh, by the way, unless someone missed my eariier post - Congratulations to David Price the AL comeback player of the year. Eovaldi obviously wants to start. He has said as much but I think that he also enjoyed being The Relief guy this fall. Using him as a closer would be a great waste of really good innings that he can pitch for us. Dalbec may become a helper for us before Feltman but eventually I wouldn't be at all surprised if Feltman develops into the type of relief pitcher that will really help us.
  8. Congratulations to the American League's comeback player of the year - David Price!!!
  9. I'm really looking forward to watching to see how Feltman, Casas, and Flores develop this season. They are all a ways away but when we get a chance to see them we will be pleased.
  10. I think that you are right. He'll stay in right though because that is the best place to have him on this team. The age old undebateable arguement is that he could get hurt going anywhere or doing anything, which is correct but I do think that it comes down to what position he makes the team better in. I think that it is right field.
  11. He's baaaaaack!
  12. We have to stop meeting like this. I suggested last month that the farm was going to be rebuilt. It is apt to take more than a month.
  13. I would like to see Eovaldi signed by the Red Sox for 3 with a possible option because he is 28 and would likely provide us with a solid solid mid to upper rotation game for the length of his contract. He has a rebuilt arm and many think that his best years are ahead of him. His post season heroics were outstanding for sure but certainly alone do not give reason to sign him - not by a long shot. Pretty sure everybody knows that. What we did see out of this kid was the grit and determination you really see in true winners not the make believe kind. He has suffered a lot and has dealt with it well. I don't think that the teams interested in signing this kid up are doing so simply based on what they saw this past post-season. There obviously is something special about him to go along with the fact that he consistently throws strikes and can generate speeds of between 98-102 mph on a devastating fastball. No he is not the next coming of Nolan Ryan but he very well could be a great catch for whatever team signs him. I hope that it us.
  14. Hey look - I couldn't get past the part where you said that I fabricated mystery teams. I didn't fabricate anything. That expression was used numerous times lat year. Not sure notin why you feel you have to do that stuff. Kind of like the "internet doctor" you claimed that I dreamed up. I don't think that I have to do much to try to convince anyone that DD is masterful at what he does.
  15. I hope you know that I was just fooling around with the Slasher man. lol
  16. Concise, clear and to the point - I didn't have to wander through reams of ******** only to learn that your opinion because you have all of the significant data compiled must be the correct one. This my friend is one of my favorite posts!
  17. Boston got the coverage for sure but we don't know who actually had real interest in signing JD. 4 or 5 or maybe even more mystery teams. I think that there probably was quite a bit of interest, simply a situation where no one bit on the asking price. It is always just a guessing game regardless of how many times we read 4 years and 60. Doesn't mean that it is what he will get. I said earlier that something I like about DD is that he doesn't tip his hand. We might all be surprised at what gets done. Once again, I'm thinking that 28 year old with the beat up arm winds up back in Boston and I will be delighted.
  18. Lest we forget - remember last year how there were all of those supposed teams ready to hop right in there and gobble up JD. One thing that I like about DD is that he won't be showing his hand at the table. You just don't know what he is up to. It wouldn't surprise me though if Eovaldi winds up in Boston and of course as a starting pitcher.
  19. Who would ever believe a quack like that right! And you certainly are right about the fact that we need to be saving our money. I hope to hell that JH can at least make his current payroll obligations. Times are tough and boy are they ever going to get worse. Hey I'm for bringing back both Buch and Hanley but only on the cheap. Maybe we could even get that other fat little bugger who liked to hang out in the crapper - what was his name again. If DD spends any money at all this off season it will only prove once again that he just doesn't get how to build either a team or a farm system.
  20. I don't think so - more to it would be my guess. Has nothing to do with his hair either.
  21. yup - and most of the time he is one of the posters I pay the most attention to (as are you of course). I don't think that the thought of moving Mookie back to second would gain much traction but it definitely has been thought about and discussed in Boston. Hey - there have been times that I thought that it might be a good idea. I like our outfield rotation as is right now. I also like the Pearce Morehead combo at first as well. I just don't think that second base warrants extra attention right now. I think that it is covered. Spud mentioned that possibility of even bringing Kinsler back ( much less $ of course) for defensive purposes if need be. Not a bad idea. I wonder how many people will comment now telling me what a horrible fielder Kinsler is because of his miscue during the series.
  22. What hasn't been brought up at least 20 times here? It is just silly to suggest that there is much of a clamor even here to move Mookie back to second base. Saying that it has been considered and that it could be done doesn't mean that it has a lot of support.
  23. Who really are these fabled obsessed Red Sox fans? I have heard a few people suggesting it but they certainly didn't sound absolutely sold on the idea. This is what happens here.
  24. I don't think that there is even a slight chance that Mookie winds up back at second base. I also think that all 2 or 3 of the people here who have expressed a remote interest in seeing this happen will probably react just fine if our gold glover stays right out there in right field. Second base will not register much of a number on Cora's scale of pressing things that need to get done.
