  1. Where is Hanley when we need him and how about bringing back Ben. lol lol lol It is the boring off season and the tired old drum continues to be beaten. Still better than nothing.
  2. It is a wonderful time to be a Red Sox fan. I have many fairly important things that I spend too much time worrying about (worry = a wasted emotion by the way). One of my worries will not be who we can sign, when and if we can sign them, or whether JH wants to spend his money on this team or not. It is all good stuff to talk about, I just have no interest in being critical of anyone who sees things differently. A lot of good things could happen over the next few years believe it or not as well as all the worrisome junk we hear so much about.
  3. I think that you have the right approach here. I know that I might be seen as a huge fan of DD"s. I'm a fan of anyone working for the Red Sox for the most part. I did like the fact that his reputation preceded him. My primary gripe about what gets said is that some seem to already have him pegged as a farm destroyer or maybe even someone who cannot build a bullpen, or whatever. Personally I do not care what it looks like to some with respect to what he has done in the past. I know all of the comebacks that could be said here thus it would be a waste of time to present all of the issues once again. He has been and hopefully will continue to be one of the best in the business. Obviously there are going to be some hurdles to clear if the Sox are going to continue to compete year after year. We are lucky to have someone competent in all phases of the game leading the way.
  4. Come on notin. Lighten up. You get to feel any way and say anything that you wish with respect to a discussion of DD.
  5. Moon - I hope that you can see what you have done. We have now been informed that in actuality our GM isn't really very good - although I know I know Yank fan - you didn't come right out and say that , implied strongly. I also know that there are those amongst us who have repeatedly claimed that we are not realists and that we just don't get it. I say, lets wait and see. I like our chances now and going forward as well. We can revisit this in a few when we are still at the top of the food chain or simply trying to climb our way back up out of that abyss following our sudden head first dive over that mf cliff.
  6. Happy Thanksgiving - try to stay sober - the boys tell me that this is the holiday in which the greatest amount of alcohol is consumed.
  7. i don't listen good
  8. What's an amp notin?
  9. Feltman, Casas, and Flores - got my good eye on them.
  10. What is up with this? I would sooner have you teach me something useful notin like how to use the computer. As for Notin's Lows of Prospects, ya not so much. I prefer to wing it along.
  11. notin don't stop there for God's sake. What about so and so's son you know the big guy who plays the outfield. Forget his name but I was all over him as well. I just don't know what comes over me. I just don't get it. If I only listened to your true words of wisdom. lol
  12. Never ever give up hope my friend.
  13. I brought up the Price thing to begin with, just because no one else mentioned it. I don't care whether people like the guy or not, he proved quite a bit to all of the nasty doubters that have been out there. I'm also somewhat surprised that no one has mentioned the article I read the other day complimenting the role that all analytics have played with respect to this current team's development. It was an excellent article.
  14. I actually truly appreciate that comment - ty. In actuality, I'm not sure that notion and I see things all that differently. We just have different ways of saying things!
  15. Don't you kid with me notin. You already know that you are the smart one.
  16. ain't that the truth
  17. Hey take a vote amongst your friends here Moon and let me know if it is me. I'd gladly move on - I'm actually having some fun on some political forums being somewhat conservative by nature.
  18. Hey I just don't understand your quick witted sense of humor - Got nothing else to say. You got me again I guess.
  19. ok super job boys - lets have a big group s*** on for a guy that helped us win a World Series. It really is a special group we got here! lol
  20. Good one
  21. Oh, by the way, unless someone missed my eariier post - Congratulations to David Price the AL comeback player of the year. Eovaldi obviously wants to start. He has said as much but I think that he also enjoyed being The Relief guy this fall. Using him as a closer would be a great waste of really good innings that he can pitch for us. Dalbec may become a helper for us before Feltman but eventually I wouldn't be at all surprised if Feltman develops into the type of relief pitcher that will really help us.
  22. Congratulations to the American League's comeback player of the year - David Price!!!
  23. I'm really looking forward to watching to see how Feltman, Casas, and Flores develop this season. They are all a ways away but when we get a chance to see them we will be pleased.
  24. I think that you are right. He'll stay in right though because that is the best place to have him on this team. The age old undebateable arguement is that he could get hurt going anywhere or doing anything, which is correct but I do think that it comes down to what position he makes the team better in. I think that it is right field.
