  1. Boras seems to have overplayed his hand on Snell, Montgomery, Bellinger, Chapman and JDM. Teams just weren't as much in the mood to spend this offseason. I think there are some numbers spooking them.
  2. "A penny pinched is a penny earned" - John Henry
  3. As it stands the Red Sox rotation is a house of cards. (Please refrain from 'ace' jokes.)
  4. As well as an effort to be insane. Sign Trevor Bauer while they're making a Netflix doc - what could go wrong?
  5. Can't get much back without eating some of his $16 million salary. Best to save him for a possible deadline trade, IMHO. Who knows, we may actually "compete" this year?
  6. Definitely an option.
  7. Gotta like the positivity!
  8. Poor OB, he does his best. If they could do something about his voice I think he'd be more tolerable.
  9. West Coast trips are actually an excellent rest opportunity for the whole team, since we usually suck on them anyway.
  10. The amount of playing time Dalbec is getting suggests he's staying on the 26.
  11. I'm assuming humor here.
  12. No disagreement from me.
  13. We do need a nickname for Rafaela. Little Raffy? Fast Raffy? An Actual Reason to Watch the 2024 Sox?
  14. Big Tony is pretty good at what he does.
  15. We know why they're trying: a) A cheaper rotation; Pinning hopes on Andrew the Alchemist.
  16. Join the club, Whit.
  17. Holy crap, enough about the joke.
  18. What did BTV think of this trade?
  19. Trading Duran for a pitcher certainly makes some sense team-building wise. Trading Kenley at this point would just be a salary dump.
  20. Which begets the usual questions about what the Sox would be getting out of such deals and what they would mean to the team's "competitiveness" in 2024.
  21. Padres have really been bringing the wacky the last few years.
  22. The last gasp of John Henry Unfiltered. He shall not be heard from again.
  23. That statement is much too clear and straightforward for our front office. You'd have to dress it up in several layers of ambiguity and throw in a touch of WTF does that mean? before they could use it.
  24. Another joke along those lines: A Newfoundlander goes to Boston to see a Red Sox game. He accosts a young man to ask for directions. The young man happens to be a Harvard student. Newfoundlander: Hey b'y, where's Fenway Park to? Harvard student (scowling): Don't you know you're not supposed to end a sentence with a preposition? Newfoundlander: Okay, where's Fenway Park to, arsehole?
  25. Nobody ever thought it was.
