  1. Sure, obviously Crawford gets his starting job back. My only position on Nava is, don't trade him.
  2. Hard to say whether Hughes is ruined. He's had 6 quality starts since May 6. There are a lot of similarities, though...the Yankees and Sox decided there was more potential value in these guys as starters than as set-up men, even though they had a lot of success as set-up men.
  3. There's no freakin' way they let go of Nava now. Valentine would go medieval.
  4. I'm pretty neutral because I don't really have a team. I have to say LeBron was pretty amazing this postseason especially starting with Game 6 against the Celtics.
  5. Nava has an OBP of .477 in the leadoff spot. That's pretty respectable.
  6. The Tigers could have been extremely interested in a one-year deal when VMart went down. That's an example of unforeseen s*** coming along to change everything. All you need is one team out there.
  7. In each of the two starts before the debacle, Bard gave up 2 runs in 5.1 innings. When Doubront has starts with those numbers, everyone thinks he did just fine. The expectations for Bard as a starter were too high to begin with.
  8. FO didn't screw him up. This was what he wanted. They gave him the opportunity to be closer but he wanted to start. This is all on Daniel. Also I predict you're wrong, he'll be back in the bigs this year.
  9. Apparently they're sending the Peralta pine tar sample to NY for lab analysis...Remy was having a good yuk about this last night.
  10. Ellsbury is a goner...that is one of the safer assumptions on player movement you could possibly make about this team.
  11. K's and BB's look a little better at least...
  12. Nava up-to-the-minute...333/449/520...that's sick!
  13. You have to keep up here man...the argument for keeping Scutaro is now an option play...if he wouldn't have been better than Aviles, he most certainly would have been a better utility guy than Punto.
  14. I wouldn't say 2-3-2 is totally unfair, but I do think it gives an edge to the team with the 3. They have the opportunity to take one of the first two and then close it at home like Miami is on the verge of doing. I think that puts a lot of pressure on the home team to hold serve the first two games.
  15. I think that's only partially true now. I think the offense has actually been the bigger culprit over the last month or so. The numbers support that.
