Time to recoup some of Panda's contract with creative marketing ideas. Develop some fun new products that focus on the lighter side of Panda's corpulence. Starting with beach balls that are designed to look exactly like his belly as captured in that now-classic photo from the start of spring training.

I'm not disputing your point about the cost-controlled players. But we can't ignore the potential contract albatrosses that Ben left the team with. The bottom line for 2016 is that we have a mammoth payroll and a team that projects for 84 wins or so.

Henry gave the go ahead for Price and Kimbrel because he was willing to have the highest payroll in team history and pay a fairly large chunk of luxury tax.
