  1. No, I didn't miss the point. You just didn't read the posts by Kimmi and moon that I responded to.
  2. Could be. But I don't think Cora thought 4-6 innings less in spring games was going to make the pitchers stronger down the stretch this year. It's a pretty small difference, no?
  3. I don't see how 4-6 less innings in spring games could possibly have such a big impact one way or the other. Sale and Porcello are struggling this year, it's as simple as that. And Sale has had a lot of things going on with him since last July.
  4. I think the moral high road in baseball has been washed out. It still irks me that the Yankees profited heavily off Chapman's DV issues by robbing the Reds and then turning him into Gleyber Torres. One of Cashman's finest moments, some might argue! And the Astros took advantage of the Jays' moral dilemma with Osuna. (Admittedly I'm just trying to stir up crap on the All-Star Break.)
  5. Good for Verlander. Let's see if some other players speak out on this.
  6. So the better he pitches, the less conflicted the sentiments?
  7. We will have a closer fairly soon, Eovaldi.
  8. Yes, he and Kimbrel overpriced themselves, so that's kind of a different story.
  9. They're not 'pampering' Price IMO. They're worried about his elbow.
  10. Unless they're facing Jake "I'll put a dent in his skull" Arrieta. (See story about him and Todd Frazier.)
  11. Maybe it's all Rocket Ball Phobia, jung.
  12. Red Sox pitchers actually lead baseball in strikeouts. But that's a major FWIW.
  13. Now that's kind of a silly one.
  14. You must be fun at parties, as the saying goes.
  15. He's been struggling a little in the stripes.
  16. That was Heath's first save since May 8, so it might be a little premature to conclude that.
  17. Could Marco be our 2020 second baseman?
  18. But his durability is a big plus, especially the way the game is now.
  19. I know, but I can't help feeling good when the Yankees lose anyway.
  20. You're in the wrong thread.
  21. I guess it depends what benchmark you're using. Mine is runs scored, and they're way up, due to all the home run balls.
