Maybe one of the reasons the Red Sox investigation took so long was because of findings being disputed.

If Syndergaard's surgery should not have been performed, the hospital and the surgeons are as much at fault as he is, if not more. They could have said no.

Another key statement from that article I linked this morning: A spokesperson for The Hospital for Special Surgery in Florida where Syndergaard’s surgery will take place told the paper: “The procedure in question—acute ligament injury with progressively worsening ulnar nerve symptoms—is defined as essential care.” The crux of this is what is defined as "essential".

The Red Sox refuse to say anything about Sale's surgery. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if he's already had it.

I'm not convinced either. I don't think Henry hired Bloom to act like Dombrowski. And the news on Sale can't be doing much for Henry's opinion of big contracts.
