  1. Sooooo......James Shields, borderline ace huh?
  2. Power rankings aren't about offense. Power rankings are about the overall strength of a team based on stats and strength of schedule.
  3. So you're saying we shouldn't demote Mookie to the #9 spot? Because that's the vibe I'm catching here....
  4. If Mookie wasn't in the leadoff spot we'd have, like, double the runs. DFA plz
  5. plz move out of leadoff
  6. Move Mookie out of leadoff!
  7. Are....are you serious? This is a joke right?
  8. No thanks. I'd rather listen to Harold Reynolds and Hawk Harrelson discuss the uselessness of statistics while Fetty Wap plays in the background.
  9. Pujols' firsts contract, Matt Holliday has been a sound investment for the Cards, Cabrera's pre-extension contract was great (extension just kicked in), Beltre's contract was a pretty big commitment that has panned out great, Fat Sabbath's pre-extension contract was great too. The problem is always paying for player's decline years, with Beltre being the notable exception.
  10. I'll write it in spanish for better sentence construction, smartass.
  11. They have a better win-loss record, they're third in runs scored and fourth in OPS, while being first in ERA, sixth in K's (Sox are third) and first in batting average against. They are, for all intents and purposes, the best team in the league right now.
  12. If, on this site "they tended to moderate themselves" the actual moderator wouldn't be so adamant about reducing clutter.
  13. Betts has been scorching the ball the last three weeks. If there was any thought of moving him out of the leadoff spot (and it's safe to assume there was when he was struggling), he has silenced it with his play. Saying otherwise would contradict your own point, devildavid.
  14. I've been here for a long time (second username, first one is from 2008). I wouldn't do a mod job if they paid me to, but I like keeping the site flowing. YOTN's got his plate extremely full, so guys with a long time here like MVP, Dojji and I try to help him out by posting the outline of how things are done here
  15. Why not just give the ump a system with a more accurate depiction of the strike zone and pitch location? Retain the human element, upgrade pitch/strike call accuracy.
  16. 1) Yes, like porn, certain lines have to be crossed for a user to be considered a troll, just like for a movie to be considered porn. 2) I don't think so.
  17. What the hell are you talking about? I'm not a mod. I can't ban anyone. I have said many times on here that I am merely stating how things work around here, and even the mod himself has explained his POV.
  18. I'd keep JBJ in the middle of the lineup.
  19. So why exactly would the Sox replace Betts from the leadoff spot, and who would they replace him with? Also, a problem with trying to judge leadoff hitters by their walk% is that it's hard to walk when pitchers are coming right after you throwing strikes to keep you off the bases. Have to swing. Not a lot of leadoff guys walk a lot.
  20. Mookie Betts is batting .283/.342/.519 .861 over the last 28 days with a 13/9 K/BB ratio.
  21. Doctor's against surgery too. She's 87, he says it's too risky (and expensive too). Cast and rest.
  22. Broken femur head. Oy.
  23. Which is enough to judge exactly nothing.
  24. Mookie Betts OPS May 30 2015: .693 Mookie Betts OPS October 4th 2015: .820
  25. 05/30
