  1. I've heard and read a lot of opinions saying the incident was "overblown" and that Ortiz wasn't seriously complaining. Goes both ways.
  2. Mazz is a sensationalist douchebag. I'd like to see Felger's stance on it though.
  3. He just sucks so bad though. It transcends age. I'd say Chris Young, but he'd get injured signing the contract.
  4. Good point. They were very pleased with the low-carb diet for Silva idea. I also suggested putting a "Handle with Care" sticker on Cook, but that wasn't as well-received.
  5. I love how the importance of sportswriter's opinions wildly varies from subject to subject depending on the positive or negative impact on the arguments of posters. Consistency plz.
  6. Still not a small-market team, according to Major League Baseball. But hey, MLB doesn't know as much as Talksox posters.
  7. You HAVE to volunteer for mod.
  8. ....and he'll never know, because ignore is for pussies.
  9. So MLB says the Nats are not a small market team, but iortiz and a700hitter say they are......who to believe? I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO BELIEVE IN ANYMORE!
  10. How is that important to the discussion? Rankings are rankings.
  11. Then why are you arguing? Besides, it doesn't change the fact that you've misinterpreted copious amounts of the data presented here.
  12. They still have options besides Oswalt, even though most of them would be high-risk/high-reward gambles, throw enough s*** at the wall......
  13. Point A: ORS says that the Nats are most likely a mid-market team, but that if given the "Big" or "Small" categories to work with, he would go with big. Point B: Pertinent data about spending power, growth rate, MASN deal, and and population and tv statistics posted. Response: No sensible point has been made. My reaction: Time for bed.
  14. Now let's get back to Paul Maholm, third place, Padilla's implosions, and Silva's low-carb diet.... And......go!
  15. The Tigers did not give up a ton for Fister. They gave up a lefty with no stamina, a role player, a MiLB 3B who is raw and can't defend, and a PTBNL. I understand that it's hard to get value at the deadline, but there are several different scenarios where the Sox can suceed: Sign Oswalt, one of the dregs steps up, they get a starter mid-season (although it's difficult). No need to despair.....yet.
  16. Here is exactly where the copout is. He has stated several times this team has absolutely no chance to make the playoffs, and pretty much called anyone who could believe that they could an idiot, except his good buddies. I have absolutely no trouble, you're the one openly twisting the truth. Have fun with that.
  17. You are much more enlightened than i am, oh venerable elder. If you cannot see it, then read again and look for it.
  18. Don't care. It's on the record. The chance for copping out is no longer there. You have read those posts before. Cut the BS.
