  1. Sooooooooo.........Tazawa in now for the Sox.....
  2. Dickey and Buerhle, who some here wanted the Red Sox to acquire, have sucked massive balls this season with the Jays. Buerhle needed two gems in a row just to get his ERA under 6.
  3. Wait, you're actually posting on a night the Yanks may lose? Color me surprised.
  4. Freddy Garcia with 8 shutout IP against the very potent Nationals offense. I really f***ing hate that guy and those pesky goddamned Orioles.
  5. No, but i know full well the way Red Sox-Yankees matchups work. There's no "advantage" in these types of series. You don't underestimate them because of mystique or any dumb s*** like that. You don't because Sox-Yankees baseball is beast all by itself. Even when one of the teams has a dog-s*** roster and is out of contention, the games are usually four hour nailbiters. That oughta tell you something.
  6. Don't ever underestimate the Yankees.
  7. Am i dreaming? Gomes actually hit a lefty?
  8. Let's give away some outs why don't we.
  9. And to think Jimmy Rollins used to be so good on both sides of the ball
  10. And Ellsbury is patient. What's going on?
  11. Interestingly enough, both came from the Reds organization but couldn't hack it. Encarnacion got his chance with the Blue Jays, and they fixed his swing and approach and he exploded into a legitimate power hitter. Francisco has arguably more power than Encarnacion but needs a lot more work on his approach. I think if any organization could turn him around, that's the Red Sox.
  12. He has light tower power, but little in the way of discipline, and sucks at 3B. However, he's the type of guy who wows scouts with his tools. He has a very similar profile to Mr. Edwin Encarnacion, and look where he is now.
  13. I didn't actually. Who were the hitters?
  14. When confronted about your team s***ing the bed, resort to personal attacks. This is hilariously douchey, considering all of the ribbing is well deserved, seeing that this all started because you did the exact same thing in the Sox gamethreads. If you can dish it out, you better be able to take it.
  15. Fred, i think you're the one with reading comprehension problems here. Again, the whole point is that the sentence is unnecessary. Specifically the sentence you're referring to, because i in no way tried to handicap your ability to express your opinion. I did point out a flaw in your logic, and expressed an idea. Where did i tell you you shouldn't express your opinion? You should definitely heed your own advice. Read things for what they are. Comprehend what you read. Think before you react.
  16. Two players (Dioner Navarro [lolwut?] and Ryan Zimmerman) had three-homer games today. When's the last time that happened? Anyone know?
  17. Except that the O's won.
  18. Man the ignore feature is the MVP of tonight's gamethread.
  19. Oh, and f*** Papelbon.
  20. Twice Nava swung at the first pitch with a game-tying opportunity, and both times he f***ed up.
  21. Right in Papi's wheelhouse.
  22. 93 MPH fastballs. Vintage Papelbon.
  23. Uehara's only flaw.
  24. Not.A.Strike. f***.You.Ump.
