    But here's my question: You initially talked about RH power, which the Sox have a bunch of prospects (highlighted by Bogaerts) with very good to great power projection from the right side. If you're talking 1B though, you'd be right, but that wasn't what your post said. And if that is what you're saying, then you'd be wrong. The Sox could use a couple righty power hitters, but nothing is as important as pitching. You can easily buy a RH power hitter on the market, but getting affordable quality pitching has become almost impossible.

    I couldn't disagree more, and Jacko's final sentence most likely hit the nail on the head. From what i've seen, the Red Sox are all about projectability when it comes to drafting pitching talent. Lefties with that kind of velocity and stuff don't grow on trees, and the upper minors are strong enough to allow the Sox to gamble on talent instead of drafting for need.

    I've read a lot on this guy actually. It's a cool story. He has a big chip on his shoulder because he wasn't very good at baseball but has improved to the point where he was projected as a top-100 pick in the draft. Sox tend to draft players with that kind of mentality. He has a bulldog attitude on the mound and is always all over hitters throwing strikes.
