  1. Btw, all bickering aside, it's funny how a700 can't see how strongly you agree with his argument because he assumes you're a past poster he had a problem with. That's how the bickering with me started. He just goes balls-to-the-walls instead of checking out if it's actually who he thinks. Genius.
  2. My theory is that Farrell is trying to build back Bailey's confidence. If his problems are physical though, there's literally nothing Farrell can do.
  3. I very much agree with this. He has no idea where anything is going even though the velocity's still there. There has to be something terribly wrong.
  4. That's kinda the point. In a league that uses OBP, R, RBI, SB, TB Trout is outproducing Segura comfortably in every category except SB. Defense doesn't mean crap. Also, you're a big stat buff, so tell me how Segura's going to keep up having a decent OBP with a .353 BABIP and a walk rate below 4%? Or are stats only applicable for players you're not high on?
  5. You're the classic internet tough guy. Meaning you're a big bully and a coward. Go away.
  6. I have no problem with your answer. I'd just like to make some fantasy trades with you, that's all
  7. He's still cheating mind you. He made with 26 to 6 where he received Justin Verlander, Justin Masterson and Starling Marter for Teixeira, Hamilton, Scutaro and Peavy. Not only are Teixeira and Peavy now on the DL, but Scutaro and Hamilton are barely hitting.
  8. I have this bridge i need to sell.....
  9. In a fantasy league, if you owned Mike Trout, would you trade him for Jean Segura and Kyle Kendrick?
  10. I don't wager with douchebags. Sorry.
  11. It's easy to improve your team, when you swindle a top-3 player for a decent SS and a mediocre SP. Give me a break. At least you admit you're a cheater. In the meantime, i'm still in first without cheating.
  12. What a load of bull. Segura is struggling and Kendrick doesn't K anyone. You improved, iortiz barely did. Still a cheater.
  13. ....which you can find for less than $13 million a year. It shouldn't even be an argument, seeing how the last 4 WS champions have won it all with low-paid arms for the farm, and the Giants did it with two different closers from the farm. Also, on what basis do you infer that a good closer is so important to outperforming your pythag? Where's the evidence behind this? A closer, by itself, probably has little impact on it since a lot of the times, setup men see the highest pressure situations in games. That theory is nonsense.
  14. Yeah, let's rush the guy coming back from TJS who's still building up his pitch count. You're an idiot.
  15. This, of course, on a day i was starting Fat Sabby and sat Myers on my fantasy team. FML.
  16. Jesus Fred, chill out man.
  17. Dude thinks Papelbon is some kind of infallible, mystical figure. He isn't. He's a good pitcher, but come on.
  18. The really solid closer may already be on this team and may not require prospects or additional financial commitment.
  19. Hopefully the Sox aren't in on that.
  20. Yeah but Melancon couldn't pitch any inning, so it's not a "closer as special pitcher" situation. If you can get through the heart of the order in the eighth with a runner on base and a one-run lead, you can come on the ninth with the bases clean to save the game.
  21. Or overrated? How do you know the reason for his struggles are not physical? We're all speculating here. High-leverage situations are high-leverage situations, and while some places may be tougher to play in than others, Boston is not some magical place where pitchers can't perform.
  22. LBJ with his second title. Haters gonna hate.
  23. In several threads.
  24. Not if the closer's making 13 mill and the prospect's making minimum salary, no.
  25. Right because it's not like pretty much every elite closer ever has not been a reliable setup man initially with some exceptions.. Even Papelbon and Mo set up before they closed. High-leverage situations are high-leverage situations
