  1. I was talking about the Red Sox.
  2. How the f*** was he safe?
  3. Right, because they haven't beat up essentially everyone this season despite the injuries.
  4. My God the Red Sox are a hospital.....how do they keep winning?
  5. Goddamn, what a shot!
  6. Keep the line moving please.
  7. But they all had either better defensive tools or eventually outgrew the position, which is the problem with Xander, who's that big and isn't even done filling out. Peralta, Hanley and Jeter are good examples of guys whose defense eroded quickly once they finished growing into their bodies (Jeter was always bad but he was captain 'Murrica!), and many theorize that playing SS is part of the reason for Tulo's many injuries. Who knows? Maybe Xanders could stay at SS for a while, maybe his whole career while being passable/good at SS.
  8. Cliff Lee does not come to the Red Sox. Red Sox trade for Bud Norris, who pitches to a low 4.00 ERA and helps them win the division. Napoli OPS's .900 in the second half.
  9. Hey he moved outta SS late, but still moved.
  10. There's very little chance Bogaerts stays at SS long term with that frame.
  11. Then move Iglesias back to SS and promote Bogaerts. You know why? Because Young sucks.
  12. No one has suggested Drew move off SS. Him at SS and Iggy at 3rd is better than Young anywhere. I don't get the constant need to try to fit a square peg in a round hole. Young is just not that good.
  13. Drew: 6.0 UZR and 13.8 UZR/150 Young: -8.9 UZR and -16.6 UZR/150 If you take defense into account, can you seriously say he'd be even a minimal upgrade?
  14. The problem is that Young isn't doing that much better offensively than Drew and he's an absolute butcher with the glove at 3B.
  15. Except that we probably couldn't. Being a pro isn't a substitute for diminished ability.
  16. I'm trying to read your post, but i'm distracted by Katy Perry's enormous rack.
  17. Some guys just aren't good healers. Some times it isn't a matter of desire or "being a pussy". If you're not physically ready, then you're not physically ready. I'm not saying that's the case with CB, but it's a possibility.
  18. You know who else isn't a 3B? Michael Young.
  19. I like Perez after his transformation to reliever, but i don't think he could be had on the cheap. He's also not really a fit for Fenway being a fly-ball lefty pitcher.
  20. Buying high on a reliever having a career year is never a good idea. Granted there is nothing that screams "fluke" from Crain's season other than the zero homers given up, but still.
  21. The Red Sox would be idiots if they offered that deal.
